Naming of PlaceNampin Road, Town of Kalkarindji

I, David William Tollner, Minister for Lands and Planning, under section 11D(1) of the

Place Names Act, give notice that:

(a) on the recommendation of the Committee, I have approved the naming of

Nampin Road, Town of Kalkarindji; and

(b) the location of Nampin Road is as indicated on Compiled Plan 5531, which may

be inspected at the office of the Surveyor-General, Level 1, Arnhemica House,

16 Parap Road, Parap NT 0820; and

(c) the name is recorded in the register kept by the Committee, which may be

inspected on the Committee's website at:

Naming of PlaceWhitlam Street, Town of Kalkarindji

I, David William Tollner, Minister for Lands and Planning, under section 11D(1) of the

Place Names Act, give notice that:

(a) on the recommendation of the Committee, I have approved the naming of

Whitlam Street, Town of Kalkarindji; and

(b) the location of Whitlam Street is as indicated on Compiled Plan 5538, which

may be inspected at the office of the Surveyor-General, Level 1,

Arnhemica House, 16 Parap Road, Parap NT 0820; and

(c) the name is recorded in the register kept by the Committee, which may be

inspected on the Committee's website at:

Reserve No. 1663 (Blatherskite Park Reserve)

Termination of Appointment and Appointment of Trustees

I, Bess Nungarrayi Price, Minister for Local Government and Community Services:

(a) under section 79(2) of the Crown Lands Act, terminate the appointment of Stuart

Alfred Adcock as a trustee of Reserve No. 1663 (Blatherskite Park Reserve); and

(b) under section 79(1) of the Act, appoint Kate Louise Freestone and

Rebecca Anne O'Shea to be trustees of Reserve No. 1663

(Blatherskite Park Reserve).

NT WorksafeScheme Monitoring Committee

Members – Expressions of InterestNominations are invited from persons within the Northern Territory who are representatives of organisations representing:

employees;

employers; and

insurers.

The Scheme Monitoring Committee (the Committee) comprises the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Business or a person in the employ of the Authority nominated by him or her, who shall be its Chairperson and no more than seven members (one of whom shall be an actuary) appointed by the Minister.

The functions of the Committee are to:

monitor the viability and performance of the workers’ compensation scheme;

monitor premium rates offered for workers’ compensation in the Northern Territory;

receive submissions from persons relating to premium rates charged for workers’ compensation insurance policies in the Northern Territory or elsewhere;

monitor and publish data on overall underwriting results;

advise the Minister on the basis of its consideration of information obtained by it; and

consider and report on the effectiveness of the premiums offered by insurers:

o in encouraging employers to develop and maintain safe working practices; and

o in penalising employers which do not ensure the maintenance of safe working

practices.

The term of office is not to exceed two years, as determined by the Minister.
