NORTHIAM C.E.PRIMARY SCHOOL NORTHIAM NEWSROUND NEWSLETTER NO.3 FRIENDSHIP TRUST JUSTICE FELLOWSHIP 21 TH SEPTEMBER 2018 Collective Worship “Journeys of Faith with Jesus” Dear Parents and carers, It was lovely to see so many people at the Enterprise Assembly we held and I would like to thank the many parents who have signed up to support the various different aspects of school life. I will be putting together an e-mail to each group later in the term to arrange future events/ meetings. Forest School has been brilliant and the children are thoroughly enjoying their time up at Great Dixter with Catherine, we would like to extend our thanks again to Catherine and Great Dixter for supporting our school with this fantastic opportunity. Parents Evening forms will be out for you to sign up for next week, do take this opportunity to come in, have a cup of tea and work with the teachers in making sure your child has every opportunity to succeed. The members of the school council are Aubery, Sydney, Alexis, Ruby G, Kiera, Marnie and Alfie. We talked about what we want to do for the school e.g. the Playground.

Collective Worship “Journeys of Faith with Jesus”

Dear Parents and carers, It was lovely to see so many people at the Enterprise Assembly we held and I would like to thank the many parents who have signed up to support the various different aspects of school life. Open the book Assembly: This week’s assembly theme is all about Trust. The title of the assembly is ‘Walking on Water’ and they will be looking at Mark Chapter 6 from the bible.

Help of Forest School: Parents of Year 3 children who are attending forest school are invited to come and be a helper! We need one parent helper on the 4th October and 18th October. Please contact the office if you can help.

School Dinners Taster Day: On the 4th of October all KS1 children will be offered a taste of school dinners! A school meal will be ordered for your child on the 4th October, even if they are packed lunch. This will allow the children the opportunity to try and taste a school meal and is a brilliant way to welcome reception into the school!

WILLOW CLASS NEWS: Congratulations to Ben for trying

hard in English and sounding out all his words and Caitlin for using full stops and capital letters Miss Mewett was so impressd! This earned them the Head Teachers Award this week - Well done!

OAK CLASS NEWS: Congratulations to Jack being kind and thoughtful at forest school and Rudi being safe and listening to instructions achieving them the Head Teachers Award this week. Good Job!

CHESTNUT CLASS NEWS: Congratulations to Riley, Millie and Amelie for good letter writing and Tegan for perseverance in math’s earning them Head Teacher’s award this week. Excellent Work!

COPPER BEECH CLASS NEWS: Congratulations to Lily for a brillant work ethic and Oscar for excellent writing and making lots of effort achieving them the Head Teachers Award this week. Great Work!

HOUSE POINTS CUP: This week was awarded to the GREEN Team.
