SECTION 1 Accessing the Lite Viewerand Displaying Images

The Lite Viewer is designed for quick retrieval and manipulation of your patients’ images and reports. The images are in a JPEG format and because of this the images display much more rapidly than thetraditional DICOM format. However they are also of low resolution and are not of diagnostic quality.

The Lite Viewer is also designed to be displayed on any internet software including Internet Explorerand Firefox, to name two commonly web browsers. The Lite Viewer has minimal features and toolsthat enlarge when moused over to help the end user see the tools easier when viewing these imagesfrom a PDA, cell phone, or tablet. For full access to all available features and diagnostic-qualityimages, be sure to use the Diagnostic Viewer.

In this section we review the six basic steps to log on and how to easily locate and access the seriesand/or study(ies) images of the Lite Viewer through the Study Browser. Section 2 contains a detailedreview of each of the Lite Viewer tools that are used to examine and manipulate series and/orstudy(ies) images.
