I want to wish everyone the very best during the
upcoming holiday season.
This may seem to be a redundant at times but I
want to thank all of you that help out at the Post in
various ways in putting our Post on the path of
being the place to go for a great time your names
are too numerous to list but you all know who you
are. To those that came and helped clean our
kitchen - Thank you!
Mac McGuinness has stepped up and will be going to school to be our
next Service Officer. Thank you, Mac.
1 November our Post is now non-smoking. A reminder that the Post
now accepts credit cards, so there is no need to go to the bank before
coming to the Post.
Important: Because of the upcoming holidays, please have your
membership dues for 2017 paid by December 20th or your new card
may not be received by the 1st of January! Do not be one of those that
will have to wait for their new membership card to arrive.
If you want to volunteer, just come to the Post on the day you want to
help. Experience is not required!
Please check the monthly calendar as a lot of events are scheduled and
we would like to see you here.
If you have a suggestion please either call, email, or place it in the
suggestion box. All items are reviewed and placed under consideration.

Have you paid your 2016 dues yet? The dues are now $40.00 as your
dues notice has indicated.
The Early Bird Dinner, compliments of your American Legion Post 163,
will be on October 22. Details in the events section of this newsletter.
Now that a no-smoking date has been posted as you wished, we are doing
all we can to made the atmosphere as pleasant as possible. This will take
a little time. Your support and attendance would be appreciated. Please
join us for daily lunches, dinners, and other events. You asked for it, now
is your chance to show us that the changes are worthwhile.
We need volunteers. There are several areas that you could get involved
in and spend as little or much time as you desire.

FROM THE S. A. L. COMMANDER Just a quick run down on what’s happening with S.A.L. during
Nov-Dec.
November is the month to give thanks.. Thanksgiving dinner is
being served 11/24 from 1 PM till 3 PM, and as usual any help
you can give would be greatly appreciated. We will be looking for
FROM THE A.L.R. DIRECTOR Well we have survived another Florida summer and now it is time to get out and ride. Pretty soon our friends from up north will be coming for the winter and we will be at full strength. The Riders have several members that have stopped coming into the Post because of the cigarette smell. Hopefully after the Post goes no smoking on No-vember 1st some of them will be coming back.
Coming up in Nov and Dec we have the Veteran's Day Parade on No-vember 11th, we will meet at the Post and ride to the staging area, KSU at 9am.
On Nov 19th we have the Dice Run for Barbra Taylor to help her with her medical bills. The plan is coming together, we need volunteers to man the stops and donations for the Chinese Auction
In Dec., the Riders have voted to put up Christmas lights on the exterior of the Post.
At our upcoming meetings we will be working to come up with rides that members want to do
