“Simple Truths for Life:” Sligo’s Radio Ministry, can be heard each Sabbath morning from 8:30 - 9 a.m. on WGTS 91.9 FM. Listen with a friend, then invite them to come to church in person at 11:15 a.m.!

Hospitality luncheon for visitors and Festival of Praise volunteers will be hosted by the Habada & Fuller team after the 11:15 a.m. service today in the Fellowship Hall.

Sanctuary Flowers: If you would like to enhance the beauty of our worship by providing flowers, contact Flor Balay at the Church Office, 301-270-6777, ext. 114.

Prayer Support: Prayers of recovery for Stacey Cazarez, Robin Lee & Vada Gentry. Prayers of comfort for the fami-lies of Glenn Larsen, Doug Nanson, Arne Wasli, Sujatha Ka-lapala, and Robert Bond and for the Wendell Phipps, Devie Phipps and Tony Futcher families who lost loved ones.

Prayer Gathering: Let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; ... You surround [us] with songs of deliv-erance. (Psalm 32:6,7) Gather with us for a special time of prayer on Tuesdays, from 7 – 8 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Come join us for a beautiful concert featuring Evelyn Simpson-Curenton and friends, including the Sligo Sanctu-ary Choir, this evening at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Deacons and Deaconesses, rehearsal for Communion will take place following the 11:15 a.m. service on Novem-ber 24. Please meet by the platform at approximately 15 minutes following the close of the worship service.

Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sabbath, December 1, in both the first and second services. This is a time of reflection on our relationship with our heavenly Fa-ther, as well as a time when we celebrate our freedom from sin, made possible by the sacrifice of our Lord.

Sligo Women’s Ministries Book Club will meet on Wednesday, December 12 at 7 p.m. in the Discipleship Room to discuss The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht.

Sligo Church needs knitters and crocheters! As part of the Raising the Roof initiative, Sligo’s knitters and crocheters are being challenged to produce hats, scarves and mittens for the homeless. More yarn is needed. Bring yarn or donation to the information desk in the Atrium.For further information you can contact Wendy Trim at <[email protected]> or on 240-460-4409.

Donations Needed: The Center for Student Success/First Generation Ambassadors Program will be collecting canned goods and gently used coats for people in need. Please look for boxes in Wilkinson Hall, Halycon & Morrison Hall and at Takoma Academy & Sligo Church. All donations will be channelled through Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington. Treasurer’s Note: Many of you will be giving your year- end offerings in the month of December.
