Thursday 11 December 2014 at 6.30pm

This year, we will be selling 2 tickets to each family. Each ticket

will be £1. This money will be used to pay for costumes. You will

be sent a letter on Tuesday 2 December with a ticket application

f o r m . Look out for it.

We are very grateful to Nursery parents Samantha and Keith

Murphy who have been successful in asking their employer Bank of

Scotland to give 6 staff a day to come and build our show scenery.

The bank have also donated £150 to pay for the scenery. Thank

you so much.

We had a competition in school to de-

sign 2 boards to go round Prestonpans

Christmas Tree at the War Memorial.

The winners were Zack Watters and

Darby Turner. Look out for their lovely

designs when Prestonpans Christmas

Lights are switched on. This event

starts with a parade starting at 5.15 at the Community Centre on

Sunday 7 December 2014.

The Parent Council Fundraising Group ran 2 lovely discos for the

children who dressed up so well and had a lovely time. Thank you

to the parents & carers who gave up their time to run the discos.

We are very proud that Place2Be are

showing a film of our P3 children sing-

ing at Place2Be National Awards in

Kensington Palace in front of the

Duchess of Cambridge and Place2Be

supporters.

Our P2s have finally been successful in

being chosen to sing to Radio Forth au-

diences on the Boogie and Arlene show.

This is being recorded on Wednesday 26

November in school. We’ll let you know

when it’s broadcast.

We are growing so big that we can’t all fit into the Brunton

Theatre together any more so P1s are going on Monday 15th

December at 9am. P2ss and P3s are going on Tuesday 16th

December at 9am. We won’t need any parent helpers as we

have enough staff to accompany the children. We will give the

children a drink and some sweets at the interval so please

don’t send them with any goodies. Thank you.

All P1 parents and carers are invited into

classes on Thursday 27 November at 2.15pm.

The children will be presented with their

Scottish Book Trust bookbag gift. This is a

lovely gift and we hope you will join us. You

can take your child home when the wee event

is over.
