Attendance at CTK:
We are closely monitoring attendance at CTK and
during parent’s evening before half term all families
were given their child’s attendance data.
We have changed how we celebrate attendance at
CTK,. Children who achieve 100% attendance during
a term will receive a certificate and a sticker. Children
who achieve 95% or above will receive a special at-
tendance sticker. We will still have the Class Attend-
ance Cup, which was won by Year 5 —Saturn class
with 98% attendance in term 1.
We are really pleased as last term our overall school
attendance has improved to 96.7% from 95% last
year.
Remember every day and every lesson counts!
Year 4 Class Assembly is
9:15am on Thursday 22nd
November 2018.
We hope families are able to
come!
Remembrance Day Assembly
We had a lovely Remembrance Assembly on
Monday 12th November, We held a two minute
silence and every child laid a poppy on the
School’s Altar. During the day, children did activi-
ties linked to the First World War.
Tag Rugby Competition
Children from Years 2 and 3 represented CTK at a Thornbury Tag Rugby Competition. Our rugby team played four matches and worked really well as a team. Throughout the morning the children improved all their skills especially passing and tagging even though it was cold. A huge thank you to Miss Wright and Miss Holloway who organised the event plus all the families and our super players: Finlay, Alice, Vittorio, Finley, Emilia, Marcus, Jenna, Alcide, Sophie and Emmett—we are so proud of you all!
Easy Fund Raising
Our Governors have created a
school Easy Fund Raising account
for the school.

It is really easy—all you need to do is use the link
above every time you book a holiday or hotel
room, insure your car, add to your wardrobe or do
your weekly grocery shop. There are over 3,000
retailers to choose from. The funds raised will
help the school to purchase more equipment for
the benefit of the school. You can even download
an app. Thank you CTK FGB

Christmas Day Mass at CTK Parish Church
Father George would like to invite all children to join
the Parish Mass on Christmas Day at 10:00am. He
would love the children to come in Nativity costumes, for ex-
ample, Joseph, Mary, Kings, Angels, Shepherds, donkey and
animals. Father George would like to create a living Nativity
scene and involve the children of the school and parish
through the Mass.
