    Prayer Requests .

What a great time of fellowship we enjoyed Sunday evening. The choice of side dishes anddessert that accompanied the turkey and ham was outstanding. You truly out did yourselves. I

want to take this opportunity to say thanks to Lowell and Frances Trimmer for working so hard toprepare the meal. I also give thanks for all those who came early to help get everything set up andfor those who put others first as they served us the food. For all of you who cleaned up during ourprogram or who chipped in and helped clean up after the feast, you are greatly appreciated. It isalways great when Gods people work together. A special thanks also to Scott & Sarah Brown,

Kristin Stuck and Cassie Bull who shared with us musically.

Allow me to also thank Tim Bussey for providing special music yesterday during the first service. It was good to see Tim using his talents for the Lord. He was a joy to work with as his YouthMinister.

I want to thank the Harmony and Philothean classes, and our Life groups for participating in arecent special offering. Your generosity was overwhelming. Praise God for His work in yourlives.

As a reminder, there will be no Wednesday evening electives this week. Please spend this timewith your family as you prepare for Thanksgiving.

With the election of officers rapidly approaching in December, I want to take this time tochallenge you to prayerfully consider who you elect. This is not to be done lightly. One shouldnever vote for someone just because they are a nice guy. Your vote should be based upon first

and foremost ones Christian life. Are they a good ambassador for Christ? Does their attitudereflect the heart of Jesus? How does their life match up to the scriptural qualifications of a leader? This year we find ourselves in a unique situation where we are in need of an additional Elder toserve. Our current Elders and I are recommending something unprecedented when it comes to thisrole in our church. Dave Tingler, who has served faithfully to this church for many years as partof our staff, has agreed to serve as an Elder to help us through a period where we could possibly beleft with only two Elders. This is an interim period of time that he has willingly agreed to fulfill. If you have any questions regarding this matter, feel free to contact myself or Dave, and also thecurrent Elders of Fifth Avenue.

In His Service,Brad Seevers, Ephesians 3:20-21
