A Roman Catholic Parish with a Jesuit Tradition
NOVENA to St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Therese, a 19th century Carmelite nun whose way to God was not through great deeds but through little things done with great love,
died at the age of 24.
Never having built orphanages, gone to far away lands to make converts, or challenged
political and economic injustice, her influence has been her simple reliance on
God and God’s power to do great things through daily actions done in love.
For those who would like to ask her intercession to grow in God’s grace
through the loving actions of daily life, the novena begins September 23 through her feast day, October 1.
This is a PERSONAL PRAYER NOVENA.
Prayer cards will be available near the church doors.
You are welcome to come and go as you are able.

Personal Prayer of Pedro Arrupe, SJ
Grant me, O Lord,
to see everything now with new eyes, to discern and test the spirits that help me read the signs of the times, to relish the things
that are yours, and to communicate them to others. Give me the clarity of understanding that you gave Ignatius. Amen.

SEASON OF CREATION 2021
The Season of Creation is the annual ecu-menical celebration of prayer and action
for our common home. The season starts September 1,
the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, and ends October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
This year’s theme: “A Home for All: Renewing the Oikos of God.”
Oikos is the Greek word for home or household. Using the term “oikos” celebrates the integral web of relationships that sustain the well-being of the earth.
Creator of all, With the Psalmist, we sing your praise
that in your house “even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for
herself, where she may lay her young.”
We remember that you call human beings to keep your garden in ways that honor the
dignity of each creature and conserve their place in the abundance of life on Earth.
Amen. SeasonofCreation.org
