NSB Academy is an outcome of serious thinking that went into

making management education more industry-compliant,

Today NSB Academy is very successful in terms of

making its goal a reality. It has signed agreements/MOUs

with over 12 industry and university bodies in India and

abroad to offer world-class programs. The resultant

management programs are highly value-driven and

student-centric. At the very outset, we give you global

orientation by organizing visits to foreign universities,

global corporate establishments and learning centres.

This is followed by a series of lectures by eminent faculty

hailing from across the world. Unique initiatives such as

graduate assistantship, student exchange programs and

global mindset trail enhance your learning experience.

Today

Our priority is to make out difference evident in

everything that we do and translate them into tangible

benefits for the student fraternity.NSB looks forward

to becoming a centre of excellence for business

education driven by a holistic approach and value

education. NSB in the short term looks forward to...

Ÿ Seek accreditation from global accreditation bodies

for higher education

global opportunities for you

Future

VisionTo be amongst the most innovative B-schools with a

global outlook, committed to creating opportunities

to individuals with character and competence to

make them pragmatic and confident leaders who

flowers.

Dr. Sridhara MurthyFounder President & Director

We started witha simple vision - Make managementeducation better.

Let me confess and be honest with you. We didn't

start NSB Academy with lofty goals and promises.

The vision was simple; make management

education better.

At the time of our inception, there were many

business schools - too many 'me too' players. The

situation has not changed much even to this day.

We started working towards the goal of making our

management education better. We undertook a

thorough review of the curriculum offered, made

changes where necessary and added several

innovative features to it. As a result, we succeeded

in creating a robust program, which was

conceptually intensive, industry-relevant, global

and stood out from the crowd.

We spoke to some of the best management

professors in the business, both at the national and

international level. We explained to them our vision

and requested them to be part of our core faculty

team. Many of the management academicians we

spoke to, obliged to our request. Thus, we put in

place a strong faculty team.

We forged alliances with some of the best

universities in India and abroad for awarding

degrees and creating a forum for exchanging ideas

and increasing the learning opportunities for our

students.

Our efforts bore fruit and enhanced the strength of

the curriculum by several notches and created a

credible niche for ourselves in the industry. Our

well-oiled placement cell fittingly complemented

our academic strengths. Our emphasis on pre-

placement training, skill and knowledge

enhancement through additional certification

courses and placement processes ensured that our

students landed plum jobs, year after year.

As a result of our efforts, we became a serious player

in management education and industry

acknowledged our presence. Our rankings and

ratings improved, and we were counted among the

top-ranking institutions. In spite of our solid

performance over the years in every department, we

haven't forgotten the vision with which we started

NSB - make management education better. Every

day, this vision spurs us to continuously improve

the quality of our management program and give

aspiring students the best management education

possible.

processing technology, which helps tender coconut water stay fresh and

protected from the destabilizing effects of light and oxygen for 9-12 months.

The product also keeps its natural taste and nutritional values intact.

potential and encourages you to be an entrepreneur.

Our Entrepreneurship Cell “DISHA” aims to help in

the development of India's entrepreneurial

ecosystem by enabling easy and efficient interaction

among its major components spanning students,

working professionals, aspiring and existing

entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors, venture

capital firms and corporates through initiatives

you in contact with venture capitalists and help you

in seeking venture capital funding.

The entrepreneurship cell is run completely by

students under the strict vigilance of a team of

faculty that has been exclusively trained for the

purpose by National Entrepreneurship Network

(NEN).

The concept of social media club today is quite

different from what it was a few years ago. Social

media today is not just about updating status or

posting pictures from a party held on the previous

night. Instead it is changing the way we search for

jobs, communicate, learn, share and do business.

There is an imperative need today to include the

social media in the framework of higher education

because it is literally changing the world. The Social

Media Club at NSB was formed to facilitate

interaction among members to explore key issues

facing the society as technologies transform the way

people connect, communicate, collaborate and

relate to each other. The club enables you to explore

your personal and professional passions by helping

you to connect with a community of peers based on

both geography and areas of interest.

Social Media Club

Look. Listen. Join. Learn. Lead.

Student Clubs

45

The club was started by a few ardent

movie enthusiasts with the aim of

exposing NSBians to insightful movies.

The club screens a movie every weekend.

The Movie Club of NSB has occupied a

special place in every student's heart. Its

popularity can be testified by the fact that it has

more members than any other club.

The club prints the ticket for every movie

premiere and generates revenue. It also sells some

snacks and soft drinks. Thanks to the Movie

Club, the NSB students are becoming adept with

the technicalities of cinema too.

The Club is an attempt to make learning process

'student centric'.

Movie Club

The primary objective of the club is to foster literary

activities such as poetry, writing and reading in

you.

Literature helps us understand the world better

and improve our communication skills. Literature

is refined communication. This communication is

done through characters created by the writers or

by the writers themselves. It provides us a treasure

trove of insights into others' feelings, thinking and

emotions.

Every year, the club plans and conducts several

events and programmes such as book and poetry

reading, arranging interaction with authors, story

writing, poetry competitions, etc.

The literary achievements of a few of NSB students

are positive reflections on the profile of its students.
