GOSPEL REFLECTION Since we were children we have listened to this passage of the Gospel and we have even sung it countless times at our Masses. Today the liturgy sets the scene for us again to ask Jesus about the resurrection of the dead and what is the most important commandment of the law. Jesus replied, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the great commandment, the first. But there is another very similar: "You will love your neighbor as yourself." The new commandment, the commandment of love. Vertical spiritual love towards the Lord, upwards and horizontal love towards brother / sister, and towards the interior of the person, such as yourself. What a beautiful teaching Jesus inherited from us! Only an unaware does not understand it. Three steps to follow. 1. Love the Lord with your heart, with your soul, with your whole being 2. Love your neighbor, in service to others, those in need. 3. Like yourself, a life of meditation prayer always walking into the heart to imitate Jesus. Everything, absolutely everything, is based on these two commandments. We live in a society that has forgotten God, has put him aside, technology and money, business comes first. Now, almost a year after the pandemic arrived, it is time to take a thermometer in these three steps. How is my relationship with God going? How is my love for neighbor going? How is the change in my heart going, still stone? Let's be honest with ourselves, let's put into practice what we have learned in this testing time. © LPi
Tres pasos, a seguir. 1. ©LPi
