Novice red house league Dogs, Knights win tournament titles Two Minor Oaks Hockey Association house league novice red teams won tour- nament championships recently. The Hound Dogs won all five of their games to claim the championship at a tournament in Jordan. Meanwhile, the Knights were victorious in all four of their games over two days to claim the champi- onship at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Novice Select Christmas Classic tournament. For the Hound Dogs, Iain Dell and Andrew Young each recorded a hat trick in a 12-0 victory in the gold-medal game, while Ethan Stuart added a pair. Patrick Stewart, Chris Dong, Ben Lyytikainen and Denver Winch also tallied, and Tommy Emo earned MVP honours with four assists. Aiden Oliver earned the shutout. Scott Armes, Trevor Sands, Riley Cerovcec, Brett Walker, Keelan Wardrop, Jack Williams and Hunter Smith also con- tributed to the gold-medal win. Scott Oliver, James Stuart, Dough Walker and Darren Young coach the Hound Dogs. The Knights edged Niagara Falls 4-3 in their final after beating the same Niagara Falls team earlier in the day, 5-3. The Knights also won 4-1 against the host Niagara-on-the-Lake and 8-2 over Ancaster on the first day of the tournament. Members of the Knights, sponsored by Dodge Caravan Kids, are James Carroll, Dylan Ferron, Evan Ferron, Matthew McDougall, Luke Miscio, Michael Napolitano, Connor O’Brien, Michael Papadimitrios, Avery Robertson, Michael Scott, Ryan Sheppard, Christopher Snook, and Sam Vousden. The team is coached by Brent Robertson and Bill McDougall. Dan Papadimitrios is the trainer and Jean Leandres is the team’s manager and tour- nament coordinator. Novice red house league Dogs, Knights win tournament titlesTwo Minor Oaks Hockey Association

house league novice red teams won tour-nament championships recently.

The Hound Dogs won all five of theirgames to claim the championship at atournament in Jordan. Meanwhile, theKnights were victorious in all four of theirgames over two days to claim the champi-onship at the Niagara-on-the-Lake NoviceSelect Christmas Classic tournament.

For the Hound Dogs, Iain Dell and
