Novice red house league Dogs, Knights win tournament titlesTwo Minor Oaks Hockey Association
house league novice red teams won tour-nament championships recently.
The Hound Dogs won all five of theirgames to claim the championship at atournament in Jordan. Meanwhile, theKnights were victorious in all four of theirgames over two days to claim the champi-onship at the Niagara-on-the-Lake NoviceSelect Christmas Classic tournament.
For the Hound Dogs, Iain Dell and
Andrew Young each recorded a hat trick ina 12-0 victory in the gold-medal game,while Ethan Stuart added a pair. PatrickStewart, Chris Dong, Ben Lyytikainen andDenver Winch also tallied, and TommyEmo earned MVP honours with fourassists. Aiden Oliver earned the shutout.
Scott Armes, Trevor Sands, RileyCerovcec, Brett Walker, Keelan Wardrop,Jack Williams and Hunter Smith also con-tributed to the gold-medal win.

The Knights edged Niagara Falls 4-3 intheir final after beating the same NiagaraFalls team earlier in the day, 5-3. TheKnights also won 4-1 against the hostNiagara-on-the-Lake and 8-2 over Ancasteron the first day of the tournament.

The team is coached by BrentRobertson and Bill McDougall. DanPapadimitrios is the trainer and JeanLeandres is the team’s manager and tour-nament coordinator.
