The Oakwood Area Food Pantry is holding a fundaiser called “Recycle For Food.”

They are asking interested people to save all steel cans (vegetable, fruit, soup, tuna, etc.). If a magnet sticks to it, they’d like for you to save it.

The food panty will be col-lecting the cans at the Oak-wood Food Pantry from now until November 1.

Rinsed out cans may be dropped off at the fenced in porch off the new food pantry at 202 South Scott Street in Oakwood.

Grade scale changesThe OHS faculty has made adjustments to the grade

scale for this school year. The grade scale was adjusted to match the rest of the

district. It also was suggested by a staff committee to coincide with the introduction of the Common Core Curriculum.

The new scale is a straight 10-point scale and took effect at the beginning of the year. The first progress reports should reflect the new scale as well as the up-coming first quarter grades.

Here is the new scale:A 100-90B 89-80C 79-70D 69-60
