The William J. Adams IV Regatta is an alumni sailing competition
that provides opportunity to connect with Camp friends and enjoy
spectacular racing. This event also carries with it the important
mission of raising money for the endowment in Bill IV’s name, thus
providing a child with financial assistance to attend Camp Sea Gull
or Camp Seafarer.
Not able to race but still want to make an impact? This special
group of sailors will be thrilled to know that someone in the Camp
community believes in them. Your sponsorship will be the extra wind
in their sails on race day.

Experienced racer? Sailing novice? This regatta can support
sailors of any ability. To start, pick your boat: Lightning, or
Sunfish. Next, pick your crew: recruit three others for Lightnings
and up to one other for a Sunfish, or let Camp match you up with
another racer. Feel free to race for a few heats, or the whole
afternoon. At the WJAIV Regatta, it’s up to you! By raising a sail,
all adult regatta participants will change a life by raising
donations prior to race day. Camp will supply racers with the
necessary tools including a personalized website needed to meet and
even exceed their fundraising minimum.

Whether your Camp history began in the ‘70s, on the sailing
staff, or in cabin 10 as a camper, this weekend is a come one, come
all celebration. Bring your family or attend with friends and be
prepared to pack your suitcase full! Homecoming weekend
