Prelude “Thy Word” Grant Todd Baldosser
*Opening Hymn “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee” (Outdoor-Verses 1 &4) No. 2
1) Joyful, joyful we adore Thee, God of glory Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, Opening to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; Drive our fear and doubt away;
Giver of immortal gladness, Fill us with the light of day!
2) All Thy works with joy surround Thee, Earth and heav’n reflect Thy rays,
Stars and angels sing around Thee, Center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain, Flowery meadow, flashing sea,
Chanting bird and flowing fountain Call us to rejoice in Thee.
4) Mortals join the happy chorus; stars of morning, take your part;
Love divine is reigning o’er us, binding those of tender heart.
Ever singing, move we onward, victors in the midst of strife;
Joyful music leads us sunward In the triumph song of life.
*Call to Worship
Leader: Friends, we gather together this morning to proclaim the ways in
which God is working within our midst.
People: We have been blessed by God! Leader: We gather together to give thanks for the ways in which God is
working within our midst.
People: We are being blessed by God! Leader: We gather together to open our eyes to the ways God is using us to
work within our midst.
People: We will continue to be blessed by God! Leader: Dear ones, God has given us so much and is very much alive, at work
and still speaking among us. We are called to give back.
People: We are called to be good stewards; good stewards of our time, of
our resources and of our money. Leader: Let us give thanks to our God of blessings and affirm our commitment
to the ministry God is calling us into.
People: Let us give thanks to God!
* Please stand if you are able
*Prayer of Invocation
All: Heavenly Father, help us to be satisfied with every blessing you
have given us. Help us remember that You are always with us and
You will never fail us. You graciously give us all that we need.
Help us work hard whenever we can. Help us know the difference
between our needs and our wants. Help our hearts to be eager to
give to others because You are always eager to give to us.
Everything we have comes from You, Lord. You are a gracious
Father who loves to fulfill the needs of His children. For we pray
this as Christ taught us, saying…
*The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors; And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.

Children’s Hymn Jesus Loves Me! (11:00 a.m. only) No. 113
Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.

Hymn “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” (11:00 am only) No. 82
1) Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
why should my heart be lonely and long for heaven and home,
when Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is he:
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
Refrain I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
for his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
2) “Let not your heart be troubled,” his tender word I hear,
and resting on his goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
though by the path he leadeth but one step I may see:
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
Refrain I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
for his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
3) Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
when song gives place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to him, from care he sets me free:
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
Refrain I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
for his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches me.
Prayer of Dedication
All: Lord, we believe your Word when you say that we have been
blessed with every spiritual blessing. You have given us all that we
need to live faithfully as your chosen people. But just as often as
we turn to you to fill us up, we turn to other places for blessing.
We turn to our power of our money instead of resting and relying
on You. When we do turn to You, we often try to force our
spiritual growth, when all that is needed is to meditate on Your
great love for us. Help us to turn to You, to lean into You, first
and foremost, for our spiritual needs and desires, and may we see
Your good deeds and Your love for us when we do. Amen
*Closing Hymn “O, How I Love Jesus” (Outdoor - Verses 1 & 3) No. 99
1) There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth;
it sounds like music in my ear, the sweetest name on earth.
Refrain O, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!
2) It tells me of a Savior’s love, who died to set me free;
It tells me of his precious blood, the sinner’s perfect plea.
Refrain O, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!
3) It tells of one whose loving heart can fell my deepest woe,
who in each sorrow bears a part, that none can bear below.
Refrain O, how I love Jesus, O, how I love Jesus,
O, how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!
