Happy Fall Everyone!! The PTO is in full swing now and we have so many exciting things to tell you!! First of all, we’d like to thank our incredible Hospitality committee (Anne Hand, Eve Brownstein and Rebecca Scannell) for their amazing work at hosting the Teacher Breakfast, Kindergarten Breakfast and the Superintendent reception. Thank you also to our amazing Advertising Committee (Effie Drossman and Lisa Anderson) for their unbelievable work on rebranding our PTO. They developed the beautiful new logos you see and streamlined our communication and advertising, often on ridiculously short deadlines!! Thank you also to our New Family Liaison Committee (Marianne Velcamp and Tami Horan) for the wonderful New Family Breakfast on September 26th. We had over 30 families attend and it went a long way to making everyone feel welcome and included. Job well done by all. Thank you ladies!! The website has been a huge success! We have over 250 families registered online. If you haven’t done so, please go to www.rumsonschoolpto.com and register today. The deadline is October 6th! We still need volunteers for all events throughout the year. Full committee descriptions and specific volunteer opportunities are available online or you can email me directly at [email protected]. Our Book Fair is coming up (October 14-21). Look for details inside the newsletter. The Book Fair is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, so please come out and support us!! Remember, books make great Christmas and Hanukah gifts!! Please also save the date for the First Annual Bulldog Boutique (November 6th). We are hoping to make this an annual pre-Holiday shopping tradition here in Rumson with over 30 vendors with items ranging from food to jewelry to unique gift items. Please bring the kids and come out and support us!! Last, but not least, thank you to the 2011-2012 Board members and Committee Chairs!! They are all working tirelessly to bring us the best events and programs this year. Thank you for your efforts ladies! Have a safe and fun October and Happy Halloween
