The buffet will open at 11:45 A.M. and will be catered by Popeye's Louisiana Kitch- en. Our program will be a "Meet the Candidates" session, featuring the local political candidates. RSVP by Tuesday, October 2, to get the price of $12 and to help us plan for adequate food and seating. The price with no RSVP is $15. Come join us to be informed voters!

After a long period of extensive remodeling, Sam's Club on Landers Road held their re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on August 31. Marketing Manager Joy Bush explained how much their associates volunteered in the community, and General Manager Rick Parker hon-ored both the Sherwood Police Department and Fire Department with a check to each for $5000. Fishnet Missions was also given a check for $1000 for their food pantry.

OCT MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON TO FEATURE LOCAL POLITICAL CANDIDATES

The Sherwood Chamber will have a Business After Hours event "Festifall in the Wood" on Thursday, October 18, from 5:00 till 7:00 PM at BJ's Plants and Produce. We'll have snacks, drinks, and lots of fun fall activities, along with great contest priz-

The City of Sherwood and the Sherwood Rotary Club are sponsoring the Sherwood Veterans Parade, which will be on Sunday, November 4. This year's theme is "Welcome Home Veterans." The parade route will be on Kiehl Ave., beginning at Lantrip and ending at City Hall.

SAM'S CLUB GRAND RE-OPENING INCLUDES PRESENTATIONS TO SHERWOOD POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS

In order to educate our Chamber members and guests on their choices in the upcoming local elections we'll have a "Meet the Candidates" forum as the program for our October Membership Luncheon. Each candidate will be given two minutes to talk about his/her qualifications and then will be available after the meeting for questions.

This is another educational opportunity that the Chamber is proud to be able to offer to our members. We hope you'll be able to join us and Meet the Candidates!
