The company is headquartered at New Delhi, India. It is today the 4th largest player globally in terms of number of SubscribersAirtel has started positioning itself as the preferred network for smartphones through its Smartphone Network ad campaign to tap the changing consumer needs and usages

Services and ProductsMobile Services: Airtel offers two type of mobile services these are prepaid and Post-paid

Prepaid Mobile Service: It is a type of service in which a user has to purchase the credit value in advance i.e. you have to pay in advance to use a particular service and respective balance will be credited in your account

Post-paid Services: It is a type of service in which a user has to pay the value after using the services, a monthly bill is generally generated in this case

TelemediaServices: Airtel provide internet services to the users using various technologies such as broadband through DSL (Digital subscriber loop)

Internet services For Mobile Users: 2G Data Services: Airtel provide internet services to the mobile users through technology of GPRS

High Speed Internet Services 3G and 4G Data services: Airtel also provide user with data network of 3rd and 4th generation mobile system which provide users with high speed internet services through technology of WCDMA and LTE

For Home and office users: Airtel provide data services to home users and offices through broad band services and also through 3G and 4G dongles or data cards. Airtel also provide user with Wi-Fi services through its routers or Wi-Fi dongles

Broadband TV: Airtel provide users with broadband TV where user can watch the television with buying a TV and without any cable connection. Users can just watch the television by subscribing with Airtel broadband TV and then they can watch TV on their mobile and laptopsAirtel Business: The Business unit of Airtel conveys end to end telecom solutions for a lot of people extensive corporates. It spends significant time in giving modified answers for location remarkable necessities of diverse industry verticals; BFSI, IT, Ites, Manufacturing and dissemination, media, instruction, telecom, Government and PSUs and retail among others.Digital TV Services: Airtel also provide users with direct to home television services across India. Through these services users are able to get multi TV channels directly through satellites to their television, with the help of set of box. These digital TV services have an advantage of better picture quality over the legacy systems

Financial Resources Sector: This is also a very dynamic sector with many types of Investments flowing in to spur the growth further. Government of India plans to invest Rs39, 458 crore in BSNL and MTNL in the coming five years

Market Sector: Indian telecom industry is one of the worlds most competitive with rampant price war, fight for spectrum, declining ARPUs, investments in technology, constantly changing consumer preferences

Government Sector: Regulatory charges in the telecom sector are very complicated and have multiple taxes which hamper the pace of growth of the sector

Data based services are on a rise like video chat, gaming, emails, internet, apps rather than just voice based services. Technology Sector: Advent of optical cables, submarine links,3G, 4G etc

2012-2013Bharti Launched a new initiative for out of school children, to help them taking admission into government schools.
