In line with the Policy Guidelines on Classroom Assessment for the K to 12 Basic Education Program, classroom assessment is an integral part of curriculum implementation. It allows the teachers to track and measure learners' progress and to adjust instruction accordingly. Teachers provide appropriate assessment when they aim to holistically measure learners' current and developing abilities while enabling them to take responsibility in the process. Summative assessment is classified into three components, namely, Written Work (WW), Performance Task (PT) and Quarterly Assessment (QA). Among the three, the teachers expressed through the training needs assessment the need to be reinforced on developing performance tasks. In this light, a Division Training-Workshop on Assessing Authentic Learning Through Performance Task is scheduled on May ~ -IS 2018 at Guiguinto Central School, Guiguinto, Bulacan ?JI 2. The objectives of this division training are to: a. provide teachers with a concrete understanding, skills and attitude in developing authentic assessment in Grades 1- 10 of the K to 12 Araling Panlipunan curriculum; b. review and assessed the different authentic assessment provided by the teachers in Araling Panlipunan; c. prepare a performance tasks in Grades 1- 10 following the guidelines in the K to 12 Araling Panlipunan curriculum; and d. integrate GAD concepts to all participants. 3. Participants to this training-workshop are as follows: a. Elementary - two (2) per district (one best AP Teacher and one (1) AP District Coordinator) b. Secondary - one (1) AP Coordinator per school 4. All teacher-participants shall be given service credit. 5. Enclosure No.1 are, training matrix and resource speakers, facilitators and work committees for easy reference. 6. All expenses incidental to the conduct of this division training shall be charged against the Division INSET fund while travelling expenses of the participants shall be charged against local or school funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing procedures. 7.
