신록의 계절 5월에 교육과학기술부가 주최하고 유네스코 국제교육정책연구소(IIEP), 한국교원교육학회, 한국교총

이 공동 주관하는 교원윤리강령 제정관련 아시아-태평양 지역 공동 워크숍을 개최하게 되었습니다.

이번 아시아-태평양 지역 공동 워크숍은 현재 진행되고 있는 교원윤리강령에 대한 다양하고 국제적인 시각과 의

견을 조망해보고 교원윤리강령의 발전적 방향을 모색해보고자 국내·외 전문가, 교원단체 관계자들께서 참석하시

어 『교원윤리강령 제도 운영의 국제동향 및 발전방향』이라는 주제로 열리게 되었습니다. 본 워크숍을 통해 교원

윤리강령에 대한 한국, 유네스코, 아시아-태평양 지역의 다양한 경험과 전망을 공유하고 실제적으로 운영될 수 있

도록 교원윤리강령에 관한 제언을 교환하는 소중한 기회가 되었으면 합니다.

이번 아시아-태평양 지역 공동 워크숍이 보람 있는 자리가 될 수 있도록, 교원윤리강령에 깊은 관심을 가지고 계

Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to attend the 2011 UNESCO IIEP Workshop on “THE DESIGN AND

EFFECTIVE USE OF TEACHER CODES OF CONDUCT: ASIA AND THE PACIFIC REGION” which will

be held from 12th to 13th of May, 2011 in Seoul, Korea. The workshop is hosted by Korean Ministry

of Education, Science and Technology, co-supervised by International Institute for Educational Plan-

ning, the Korean Society for the Study of Teacher Education and the Korean Federation of Teachers

Association.

This workshop will cover the international perspectives and opinions on current design of teacher

codes of conduct and will search for the effective use of teacher codes of conduct. We are expecting

experts in teacher codes of conduct and representatives of teachers’ associations to take part in the

forthcoming workshop.

We can ensure that this workshop will provide great opportunities to share various experiences and

prospects of Korea, UNESCO and Asia and Pacific regions on teacher codes of conduct and to exchange

suggestions for the real use of teacher codes of conduct.

Given the importance of the teacher codes of conduct, we would be very honored if you would kindly

accept our invitation to participate in this workshop. We would like to express sincere thanks for your
