Chapter I

Introduction and its Background

Manpowers journey began 60 years ago. It was then, back in 1953, that entrepreneur Ulla Murman launched Stockholmsstenograph service, the company that would eventually become Manpower. Her staff provided services such as typing up notes for customers. One customer of the agency, an unusually careless professor, wrote unclear notes, and Ulla felt the most efficient thing to do would be to place a secretary in the professor's office and do the job there, instead of working at the agency's office. And that is where the staff hire industry began. Now Manpower is an obvious provider of skills to both private industry and the public sector. Innovation and creative ideas allowing us to continue developing our customers' businesses. CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY was organized in January 30, 2008. It is a management service and human resource support service provider specializing in the management of support functions of an organization across industries. To fully support its clients needs, CYJHEN has the capability to supply manpower and logistics either on a temporary status or based on a specific job contract. To date, it has built up an employee base of over 600 skilled and professional staff where at least 500 are currently deployed among its clients as factory workers, machine operators, technicians, call center agents, drivers, messengers, clerks, cashiers, accountants and engineers. CYJHEN has earned a reputation for providing quality service made concrete by rendering excellent professional work, meeting commitments in a prompt and timely manner and in accordance with ethical and regulatory requirements. The agencyspecializes in managing the support functions of its clients in both an office and a manufacturing setting, as well as in providing them with trained manpower and efficient logistics. The senior management team of CYJHEN hasmore than 175 years of combined professional experience in the areas of sales and marketing, finance, production, logistics, human resource management, warehouse and logistics and facilities management. The agency also provides services tailored to meet the very specific requirements of their clients, which also give a long-term employment opportunity and offer a professional working environment where the employees' performance are recognized and duly rewarded.Although CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY brings limitless possibilities and advantages in looking for a job, it also has its limits and disadvantages affecting some of its employees and beneficiaries, such as long process on manual collection of data, piling of documents and worst of all, misplaced or lost files. One of the functions of CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY is provide quality standards to both the employee and the employers regardless of the situation and made them meet the expectations of the mutual party which made them accountable for the collection of the needed requirements of each employee, also the medical clearances of each, and every person they employ and deploy. On the course of our study, we will differentiate the differences between the walk-through applicants from the ones that apply in an agency. We will also tackle how a computer online system is necessary in preventing lost documents and what are its advantages and disadvantages. We will also interview some of their employees, both office and field staff, to determine what needs to be improved, by asking them to answer some questionnaires and by observing them.At the end of this research, we will summarize and interpret all gathered data. With this information acquired, we will draw our conclusion if a computer online system is capable in satisfying CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY's quality standards.Theoretical FrameworkThe theoretical framework of this research documentation is based on a system that will be needed to effectively enhance the different aspects of the agency regarding to their security, reliability, accuracy, efficiency and other factors, the Office Automated System. We also added some supporting systems that will help us meet quality standards, and so we used the following systems, namely; Transaction Processing System, Database Management SystemOffice Automation Systemrefers to the variedcomputermachinery andsoftwareused to digitally create, collect, store, manipulate, and relay office information needed for accomplishing basic tasks. Raw data storage, electronic transfer, and the management of electronic business information comprise the basic activities of an office automation system.Office automation helps in optimizing or automating existing office procedures. The backbone of office automation is aLAN, which allows users to transfer data, mail and even voice across the network. All office functions, including dictation, typing, filing, copying, fax, Telex, microfilm and records management, telephone and telephone switchboard operations, fall into this category. Office automation was a popular term in the 1970s and 1980s as the desktop computer exploded onto the scene. Office automation can get many tasks accomplished faster, it eliminates the need for a large staff, lesser storage will be required to store data it also allows multiple people can update data simultaneously in the event of changes in schedule. Generally, there are three basic activities of an office automation system: storage of information, data exchange, and data management. Within each broad application area, hardware and software combine to fulfill basic functions that are needed to successfully accomplish the goals for a specific business. Storage of information would be the computer or a computer like system. Data Exchange would be a fax, phone, or some type of communication hardware. Data management would be using specific software tools to organize and maintain data.Information System is processing of information received and transmitted to produce an efficient and effective process. One of the most typical information systems is the Transaction Processing System. Transaction Processing System collects, stores, modifies, and retrieves the transactions of a certain organization. The process of retrieving, modifying and transmitting data to be stored using information system is referred to as transaction. Transactions occur is known to be a part of records. All of these records were originally kept in paper. When a certain organization uses a certain transaction processing system, retrieving and transmitting of information will be available when needed. The number and volume of transactions can be calculated for a given time period. It eliminates time constraints and efforts in terms of having several transactions of CYJHEN Manpower Agency. In the case of the keeping of documents of CYJHEN Manpower Agency, it will bring about efficiency and convenience in processing the different processes. Nowadays, data processing uses one or more database at one or more certain organizations. Databases are use in transaction processing where information are stored, retrieved and transmitted at certain time it is needed. Examples of transaction processing systems are airline reservation systems, billing system, payroll system, library system, online marketing and online transaction processing.

Database Management System A database management system (DBMS) is computer software designed for the purpose of managing databases. It is responsible to perform a program that organizes data in a database, providing information storage and agency retrieval capacities. The database management system or the database itself serves as the foundation of the website for CYJEHN Manpower Agency. Without these, the online portal cannot handle different transactions and other database driven functionalities.Conceptual FrameworkBelow is a paradigm that during the research first and foremost we defined the difference between the 2 systems and their advantages and disadvantages then we conducted an interview to note the important data for our research, created a summary and a conclusion and wrote a recommendation checked the results and repeat the necessary if needed in the research. Statement of the ProblemOur research aims to distinguish whether a file system is advisable for CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY and discuss how it might affect the agency's manual system, which is sometimes called the library classification system. We intend to explore the relationship between the library classification system and the file system, how the latter can cope to the fast-moving cycle of supply and demand of employees and employers and what changes will occur with the new system. The ultimate goal of our research is to distinguish what is the best system to be used in CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY.1. What is the Demographic Profile of the respondents in terms of :a. Ageb. Genderc. Positiond. Department2. What is effect of the automated system in terms of:a. Securityb. Reliabilityc. Accuracyd. Efficiency3. How does system help the company in organizing documents?4. What is the difference between the manual system and automated system in terms of?a. Cost b. Userspreferences

HypothesisAfter a thorough-research we conducted. We figured out that both systems have their own limitations and capabilities, thus making both systems commendable for the agency. However, based on the collected data we discovered and facts regarding the two systems library classification systems can be very useful because of its office environment. most of the employees hired by the agency have limited knowledge with computers and with that as a basis, we concluded that each of them because of their many years in the agency had been known to be good in organizing files and yet having that as a background, we also thought that this system fits for the agency however we also include some affecting factors that we think is reasonable like the safe keeping of the files, inventory, lists of documents and other factors that we think could happen like calamities for examples: fire or flood, so with that as a scenario we thought that having a system that can be understood by the employees could also fit for the said agency, for a computer system is based on software and programs. The files safekeeping is rest assured with its backups and user friendly environment we think that this system is as easy as it gets to be learned by the employees. When it comes to inventory, a computer system can computer automatically thus makes their work easier and could be less worries for fires and floods for you can easily save all the data or upload it on the net. However like the first system. We also considered factors that can be a disadvantage for this system. Thus we proposed that having a combination of both systems makes a fill in the hole. Covering the disadvantages of one another and maximizing their advantages, using an online library classification guides the employees to have a track on their records and supports by their safe-kept documents. Also having an electronic commerce and a website will help a lot on aspiring applicants as well as online transactions with their partner businesses. it will help them produced an efficient and effective online and walk-in transactions, By the help of Transaction Processing System they will no longer have a hard time on collecting, storing, retrieving and transmitting data. It will also let them have a record of each and every one of their transactions thus will eliminate hassle for the agency.Regarding to the security, reliability, accuracy and effectiveness of the system both of them shows a certain advantages against each other and can help the company on limitless possibilities. Therefore, we conclude that there is no significant difference on manual and automated system in processing of data.Significance of the StudyThe results of the study have a significant value to the agency, its employees, applicants, as well as aspiring qualified applicants for the agency to expand. For the agency, the results of the study provide ample data for them as a visionary agency to respond to the emerging needs of promoting or establishing an appropriate system that will help them easily manage the growing firm they are into. For the employees, the study will enlighten them to support the agency in the pursuit of an organized and proper way of handling files with regards to their requirements and important documents. For the applicants and aspiring applicants, the research will enable them to understand how an agency manages their important documents and will give them an insight of how trustworthy an agency should be.

Scope and DelimitationOur group set a number of delimitations and scopes to be able to pinpoint the topic in order for the research group to control the data or variables needed in the research. This study's main focus is on the perception of the CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY staff and applicants on the status of their office management system at a branch based on MLQ St. Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, from the year 2013 up to the present.ScopeThe research is conducted on CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY located at #190 MLQ St., Purok 3 Lower Bicutan, Taguig City. The subject will be the applicants of CYJHEN MAN POWER AGENCY.The survey questionnaires are for the applicants and the employees of the said manpower agency. The subject must be completely aware of the matter and is currently working or an applicant of the agency stated above.LimitationThe research is only for the employees and applicants of CYJHEN MANPOWER AGENCY.The research is not for a person who is not an employee or a qualified applicant of the agency. The research is not to be the basis for the system of other branches of the agency. The research is not applicable for other manpower agencies.Definition of TermsManpowerThe total supply of persons available and fit for serviceAgencyA business that provides a particular serviceApplicantSomeone who applies for somethingEmployeeA person who works for another person or for a company for wages or salarySystemA group of related parts that move or work togetherOrganizationAn organized group with a particular purpose e.g. businessHuman ResourcesA department within an organization that deals with the people who work for that organizationFile SystemThe underlying structure a computer uses to organize data on a hard disk. Related LiteratureLocal StudyAHNEX Builders Network Based Payroll SystemDayrit, 2007, AHNEX Builder Network Based Payroll System was designed for the newly set-up AHNEX Builders. The company is currently using Microsoft Excel in computing net pay which is time consuming. This proposed system will help in the work of the users in an easier process. Visual basic 6, Microsoft Access, and Crystal Report 9 were used for designing and creating thesystem. This was designed to meet the requirements of the company for a better and moreenhanced system. Keeping track of record of employees, computing the salary and wages of each employee and generating reports were included in the proposed system. This automatically computes the basic pay of each employee. Contributions like PAG-IBIG, Philhealth, withholding taxes were also included in computing the payroll. The main objective of the proposed system was to develop a system in a more accurate efficient and secured data. The proponents would like to help the management and accountant for well-organized and efficient payroll. The proponents found out that computerization of the payroll process of all payrolltransactions in the company including the maintenance module are feasible. The related studies about AHNEX Builders payroll showed a common problem. They use Microsoft Excel in computing net pay that makes the computations time consuming. The proponents are to design a system that generates report, keeps track of files and information, and computes employeesmonthly salary. The proposed system includes the deductions of withholding tax and GSIS contributions/remittances. JBC Engineering specialists Payroll SystemA. Reyes, 2000,JBC Engineering specialists Payroll System was created by the proponents in order for the company to have a better way in computing their payroll. The proponents were able tomodernize their system by computerizing their manual tasks such as record keeping and computing their payroll. A database was added to the system so that the company would not have to rely on papers to store valuable information about an employee. The database system interfaces with an operating system to set-up, update and retrieve data items from a database organized as single logical and physical unit. This also helps them track of the progress of anemployee. Another advantage of the new payroll system is in generating the payroll slips, whichis printed out by the computer. The payroll slip contains all the information on how the computation arrives on the Net Pay amount an employee receives. The system also boasts of security maintenance so that only limited people are given access to the files. The proponents main objective in developing the system is to make the companys current manual system better and more efficient with the use of computer. The proponents created a computerized payroll system that will add a database into thesystem which is likely the same as with JBC Engineering specialists Payroll System. The system lessens the use of paper outputs and paper filings. The proponents created a database the can easily be selected, inserted, updated and deleted, so maintaining their system will be a breeze. They added a print friendly reports generated through the system like pay slip for example. Included in the system is the security module that gives access to the priority user of the system and that a certain user will have featured designated to him/her.Network Based Payroll for Racal Motors Taguig CityL. Ortega, 2007, the current payroll system of Racal Motors Taguig City is prepared manually. Noticeably, it has an array of disadvantages. That is why a Network-Based payroll system for the Racal Motors Taguig City was proposed to facilitate fast and easy preparation of its payroll. The proponents made sure that the system would be user friendly. It assures that its features and functions are simple hence, easy to understand. But it boasts of security maintenance that ensures limited and regulated accessibility. Furthermore, the proponents objective is to make the companys current system more efficient with the aid of the computer technology. The proponents developed a system that is a network based payroll system that will link/network 2 offices that handle the whole payroll processes namely the HRMO, and the Accounting Office so that it will be easy for the 2offices to transfer information and files. In comparison with the system done by L. Ortega, the proposed system is a networkbased feature and its design is developed with user-friendly interfaces and has all the features that meet the specific need of the company. Accessing the system will be easy to give an efficient help.Lower BicutanBrgy. Hall Payroll SystemI. Padilla, 2006, the Lower BicutanBrgy. Hall Payroll System was designed to address the existing inefficiency and inaccuracy of its present system. There are problems encountered like loss of files and data, slow process of salary computation, difficulty in retrieving and maintaining of records, vulnerability of the data to be lost or misused, and overall security of the payroll process. The main objective of the system was to provide the Brgy. Hall with a more convenient and more reliable system of recording, storing, and retrieval of data needed to efficiently run the payroll of the employees correctly and accurately. The advantage of the system is to set up, update and retrieve data items from organized database. Another advantage of the new payroll system is generating the payroll report slips and other forms included in the system, which will be printed out by the computer. The system also boasts of security maintenance so that authorized people will only be given access to the files. The language usedin making the system was Visual Basic 6.0. The proponents made sure that the system would be user-friendly, making the municipalitys current system better and more efficient with the use of the computer. The proponents study focuses on Taguig Municipality payroll system. In comparison with Lower BicutanBrgy. Hall Payroll System, the system created was from manual tocomputerized system. The proponents created a reliable, secured and convenient payroll system from a manual system for a government office need to have this kind of system so that they can give additional focus on more important activities to be transacted. The system created by Lardizabal shows common problems with the proposed system that are normally experienced from a manual system such as loss of files and data, slow process of salary computation and difficulty in retrieving and maintaining records, vulnerability of the data to be lost or misused, and overall security of the payroll process. Security is a main function because the information in the system should be kept in its confidentiality.

AVANCE YLEX MANPOWER AGENCY File System(J.Nolasco, 2001)Under the Avance-Ylex Manpower Agency, the researchers came up with a computerized system. The researchers use database to easy access files and for easier and faster processing of documents. The program was designated to generate quality outputs and list of employees. In connection with the research system, the researchers studied faster way of organizing their documents. The system also helps the employee to know the safe keeping of their important documents. It also help the manager to monitor the employees requirements.Evertell Manpower Agency EVERTELL MANPOWER AGENCY ensures employers and employee to improve, accurate and quick response on the needed information. They also eliminate the need for multiple data loss and increase control over and organize library classification system. They also eliminate the hassle for the employee and employers and ensures them with their good reputation regarding to their system.Computer System for ALEX Construction SupplyIt has been disclosed during the interview that ALEX Construction needs computerized file system. The business current system do works for them has to automate. A simplified computerize system will very helpful for the business since this will expedite its work flow as well as generate the very precise reports needed by the management for its evaluation and overall decision making. A simplified computer system is for managing and locating objects or materials. In common usage, the term may also refer to just software components. Modern Computer System often relies upon database to provide identification of objects.According to Lou Cortinas (1986), a survey on the computer application in 223 libraries in Metro Manila. The study revealed that they prioritize the three library functions to be computerized as cataloging, indexing, and circulation. However, the plans for automation for the libraries cannot be implemented due to financial incapability of the libraries, and the lack of funds from the government. Despite of this drawback, the libraries are not turning their backs unto the automation of their libraries.According to Francisco Agena (2008), made a study about the collection usage of the students of the Jose Rizal University in a period of three years using the quantitative and qualitative approach. The goal of the study is to assess the usefulness of the faculty of students to their library and it been revealed that it is generally important for them to go to the library for their academic needs.Foreign LiteratureBiometric Time Management & Payroll Softwarehttp://www.timetrax.com.pk/#, 2007, TimeTrax is a comprehensive, integrated yet easy to use employee's Time ManagementSoftwareSuite that enables employees to record their arrival and departure providing managerswith detailed information about attendance records, absenteeism, overtime etc. Each individual'sarrival and departure time is recorded automatically via input devices such as Card Readers,Biometric devices or keyboard, depending upon environment and working practices. Agile Payroll Systemshttp://www.agilepayroll.com/products.html, 2007, We are building the finest payroll system using state-of-the-art, proven Microsofttechnologies. The Agile Payroll System will change your business, helping you to provide thehighest level of customer service. Let's face it; there are more than a few payroll systems in themarket already. But few were built to address your business needs for scale, efficiency andreliability. We are building our products using the agile software development process that putsboth clients and testing, front and center in the development process. Our system design anddevelopment are client and test driven to ensure that the resulting applications are flexible, meetour clients' requirements and are of the highest quality. Here are some of theadvantages we offer: An interface designed by users, efficiency in design that allows you to bemore effective in your business, developed in, and for Microsoft's latest .Net technologies, reliable, scalable and secure Microsoft SQL database systems, the highest level of quality basedon multi-level testing, a team with years of payroll operations, support and developmentexperience and we work with you, as partners to help you succeed.Agile Payroll Systems has similarity with the proposed system in terms of its features. The proponents created an effective design for business thatis developed in Microsoft SQL database that will address efficiency and reliability. This will be convenient for employee to view their salary particulars including from gross pay, net pay and deductions.According to Jeff Wourio, online sales and inventory system are designed to immediately record any and all sales and inventory transactions. Not only does that mean timely and accurate sales tracking, but this system also lets one readily identify inventory levels, particularly when what you have on the books doesntjibe with actual stock.Little is more maddening to business owner than watching his or her staff bogged down with inefficient, unproductive responsibilities, from double-checking his inventory disparities to seemingly endless cash-register reconciliation. Perhaps the greatest advantage to a comprehensive point-of-sale networkis the freedom it can afford on personnel to devote their energy to what genuinely matters the most helping customers.According to Donald Reimer and Ravi Nearthe disclosed that maintaining the right inventory levels is tough challenge. If not properly managed, the inventory can result in significant expense. Looking over the shoulder is the lender who is concerned about the cost ofcarrying too much inventorywhich can affect profitability. Fortunately, there are management information systems that exists which use microcomputers and variety of industry specific software. The cost of carrying inventory today has become a major expenditure and requires immediate attention. The benefits of inventory control far outweigh the costs.Any reduction in inventories, whether it is rawmaterial, work-in-process, finished goods or supplies, can have a dramatic impact on your bottom line. Industry averages suggest that a 20 percent reduction in inventory is achievable with an online inventory control system. For a company with a yearly sales volume of $1 million, such reduction would result in savings of $14,400 per year and would free up $48,000 of new dollars for reinvestment. For a company with a yearly sales volume of $10 million, the figures are proportionately higher:$144,000 per year in savings and $480,000 in a new dollar for reinvestment.Marcus Wyatt said that Success of any contemporary business is directly connected with the smart and efficient use of the information technologies. Appropriate hardware and software choice can be crucial to achieve success. This paper explores the business solutions of Kudler Fine Foods Company in the light of the computer system they use. It analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of Kudlers current computer system and technology use, including hardware and software. The opportunities of Kudler Fine Foods in terms of technology are explained along with providing suggestions to improve the ability of the company to maximize these opportunities. Finally, this paper presents the evaluation of the threats that Kudler Fine Foods may encounter given their current systems and offer the suggestions, in terms of using technology. Modern business processes are unimaginable without computers and information technologies (IT). The integration of computers, mobile technologies, and the Internet into everyday lives has brought drastic changes to all spheres. The IT have facilitated and even revolutionary changed the ways of communication, performing business activities, and many other attendant actions. In other words, business obtained a huge number of opportunities to develop and grow; our regular lives became far more interesting and vivid. People can communicate, entertain, and socialize right from their homes. However, the regular life is not results-oriented; the situation in the business world is ultimately opposite. Such integration with computers and other related technologies demands from any business to be in the constant relevant, up-to-date state to the current level of technology. Otherwise, there will be no opportunities to be a successful,Library users expect to find everything together says Stephen Abram, vice president for innovation at SirsiDynix, the leading provider of software solutions and associated services for libraries. According to her traditionally, the library management system or integrated library system (ILS) was responsible for running libraries efficiently and effectively. Over the last few years, the role of the ILS has been expanding from meeting library needs to delivering user experience.

According to Eden (2011), views that most libraries are forced to workwith fewer staff because of the having a more improved and modernized system for their library. According also to the study, the library administration need to emphasize to their staff that the organization has a vested interest in providing them with the tools and training they need to assist the organization in the new information marketplace. These may include search engines, circulation systems, and the online public access catalog.According to Charuasia (2010), connotes the term library with use of automatic data processing machines to perform routine library activities. It implies a high degree of mechanization of various routine and repetitive tasks &operations and processes are left to be performed by human beings. The study stresses library automation as the application of computers and utilization of computer based products and services in the performance of different operations and functions or in the provision of various services and output products. In addition to computer advancement, telecommunication and audio-visual technologies gives away to new possibilities in information processing.According to Back & Bailey (2010), explored the design space of mash-up techniques for the faultless inclusion of information from Web services into websites. They considered the cases where an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is either the target of such addition or the basis of the information being included. They focused on client-side techniques in which each users browser contacts Web services directly because this approach lends itself to the creation of HTML widgets. The widgets allow the integration and customization of Web services without requiring programming. They also described in detail the functionality and use of several widget libraries and Web services we built. CHAPTER III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In the previous chapters, exposed the context of the problem, the objectives of this paper and the theoretical background of the topic including findings of precedent studies. The aim of this chapter is to describe and to justify the methodology used to gather, to organize and to interpret the necessary information in order to develop step by step a strategic plan.

Methods of Research to be usedA quantitative approach was followed. Burns and Grove (1993:777) define quantitative research as a formal, objective, systematic process to describe and test relationships and examine cause and effect. Surveys may be used for descriptive, explanatory and exploratory research. A descriptive survey design was used. A survey is used to collect original data for describing a population too large to observe directly. A survey obtains information from a sample of people by means of self-report, that is, the people respond to a series of questions posed by the investigator. In this study the information was collected through self-administered questionnaires distributed personally and systematically to the subjects by the researcher.

Population Frame and Sampling Scheme or Study PopulationThis research study focuses on the peoples its respondents for the questionnaire. The participants will be the employees and job seekers of the agency.A minimum of 50 people will be the sampling scheme of the questionnaire to be conducted. . Mouton (1996:132) defines a sample as elements selected with the intention of finding out something about the total population from which they are taken. A convenient sample consists of subjects included in the study because they happen to be in the right place at the right time. The purposive study population was used in this game application. There were 50 respondents asked to indicate their appropriate rating for each indicator under each factor (socio-economic, psychological, and environmental). It is a type of non-probability sampling in a study consciously selects specific elements in order to insure that the elements will the certain characteristics relevant to the study.

Description of the RespondentsIn order to determine whether particular questionnaire does tested and effective an important role is conducting study of how the said system will be beneficial, a total of 50 respondents was asked to participate. To achieve pertinent information, certain inclusion criteria were imposed. The participants qualified for sample selection must be of relation to the agency. This qualification ensuredthat the participants understand the nature of particular questionnaire and its use generally. The respondents were selected from one of the place in Taguig CIty, thus, a total of 50people were selected, as the study also aimed to determine whether particular questionnaire effective an important role in conducting research.Research InstrumentComputer system used in an agency is a new concept in working environnmen and existing research include specific learning activities and methods. There was standardized instrument appropriate for collecting perceptions of people and the society included in the field of work. The statements related to system were developed by designing the instrument of study by the researchers and the statements in this discussion forum section of faculty evaluation instrument. This survey questionnaire was selected because it provides an accurate portrayal or account of the characteristics, for example behavior, opinions, abilities, beliefs, and knowledge of a particular individual, situation or group. This design was chosen to meet the objectives of the study, namely to determine the perception, knowledge and views of people about the system. Therewere also developed by designing the instrument by the researchers. People evaluation instrument was used for collecting responses asPeople perceptions. This instrument was validated by expert views. The results of item analysis can be found on results section of this document for every item.Procedures

Data Collection is very important and must be accurate on any type of research study. Any inaccurate data collection could cause the misleading of the research. Therefore, we should acquire the standard qualifications and strategies on collecting the needed data. The 2 types of data collection involved in every research are grouped into Qualitative and Quantitative Data. To choose the best the strategies applicable are greatly dependent on which type they should belong. In order to produce desirable outputs, we focused on quantitative data collection since were more after the numerous researches regarding our topic matter.

Quantitative data collection methods

It relies on random sampling and structured data collection instruments that fit diverse experiences into predetermined response categories. They produce results that are easy to summarize, compare, and generalize. Moreover, they are concerned with testing hypotheses derived from theory and/or being able to estimate the size of a phenomenon of interest.

To interview is one great example of data gathering procedure. It helps us to gather raw and reliable data direct from our subjects. Although it is time consuming, we can still have very credible result from this data gathering procedure. That led us on a one on one interviews. One on one interviews have distinct advantages that enables us, the researcher to establish rapport with potential participants and therefore gain their cooperation. They also allow the researcher to clarify ambiguous answers and when appropriate, seek follow-up information. We also followed it by giving questionnaires. Questionnaires can be sent to a large number of people and saves the researcher time and money. People are more truthful while responding to the questionnaires regarding controversial issues in particular due to the fact that their responses are anonymous and then surveyed some of the qualified respondents. Surveying involves gathering responses from subjects through a written medium. We will be distributing paper questionnaires for our subjects to answer. We will then tally the results and use the data for your research.

Statistical treatment of Data

After the data was collected it was organized and analyzed. For analysis of closed-ended questions, statistical method was used. Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics. This study uses descriptive statistics to investigate the level of perceptions towards statements in the questions. Descriptive statistics including frequencies, means standard deviations and variances for the statements are examined. Questionnaires were personally and systematically distributed by the researcher to students to accomplish. The survey questionnaire was collected over a period of time. The researcher looks and fined time to conduct the survey to the students. It takes a week to complete the survey and have the results for it is very difficult. The instrument that was used by the researchers in gathering the data necessary to satisfy the requirements of the major and sub-problems of the present study is the questionnaire developed by the researchers.33
