2011-2012 REGISTRATION BEGINS- REGISTER TODAY!
Along with the arrival of June comes the opportunity to renew or begin membership in CAVA, the Chicago Archdiocesan Vocation Association. What does CAVA offer you and your congre-gation? Here is what some of our members have to say,
― The longevity of CAVA (30+ years ~ Wow!) speaks for itself. It has been there! Amidst the joys and chal-lenges that we all know vocation ministry holds I always have had the confidence that I could rely on CAVA for professional growth, collaboration, support, and involvement with other vocation ministers as well as the local church to encourage vocation choices. CAVA has been there! These are challenging times in our church and world and it is comforting to know that at the CAVA table we can gather and talk with one another and work for the common good and sow vocation seeds of invitation and encouragement together.‖ …
―I appreciate so much the connections I make with other vocation directors, and that we can work together collab-oratively on various committees and projects. I certainly feel a part of something greater than myself/my congre-gation. I feel hopeful when working together with others grateful for the opportunities to connect with young peo-ple and help to continue to create a "culture of vocation."
―Due to my schedule I cannot be at the many vocation events CAVA plans. But what I have discovered is that by staying connected with CAVA our congregation can be present whenever possible. The exciting thing is we were able to join in more times than we anticipated and between the CAVA events and best practices of other groups we get ideas for vocation events to use in other parts of the country where we have sisters.‖

TOR FCN Assistant Minister
The Third Order Regular Franciscan Common Novitiate is currently looking for an assistant minister to
work with the present novice minister, Sister Rosalie Wisniewski, OSF, in the common novitiate located in
St. Louis, Missouri. Presently there are thirty-three Third Order Regular Franciscan women's congregations

the novices a community of peers in which to share their novitiate journey under the guidance of a well-
prepared novice minister.. This position is half time and the annual salary is $20,000. Housing, utilities and
meals will be included as benefits for the minister. The starting date is negotiable ( ideally the person
would be in place before the arrival of the novices on August 17).All applications need to be submitted by
June 30, 2011. If interested, please contact: Sr. Carol Besch, OSF, at 563-583-9786 ext 6171, or send an e-
