(iv)Painting the required informationwith contractorsenamelpaintof retro‐reflective typeofapprovedqualityandcolourinaprofessionalmannerwithfontsizeasdirecteddulymeasuring(whereverapplicableanddirected)thedistance(toanaccuracyof10cm)betweenthelocationofthe post and the centre line of the nearest station or any other nearer location as directed.Allof theaboveshallbeexecutedwithcontractor's skilledpersonnel, toolsandplant,vehicles,machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloadingwith all incidental charges and in all kindsofweather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required dulyobserving all safety precautions and including all lead, ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess,surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations, asdirected by the Engineer‐in‐Charge and as per the note(s) below.Notes:1.Theheightofthepostandthedepthofpitgivenareapproximate.Theactualheightvaries(lessthanormorethanthatspecifiedaboveuptoamaximumof40%)fordifferentpostsmentionedabove and hence the depth of the pit. The rate is the same for all;2. The rate includes measurement (wherever applicable and directed) of the distance (to anaccuracyof10cm)betweenthelocationofthepostandthecentrelineoftheneareststationorany other nearer location as directed;3. The post shall be firmly fixed so that it shall not get unintentionally disturbed during tracklinking/tamping/othermaintenanceoperations.
TransportationofPWay fittings, fasteningsandothermaterials like fishplates, fishbolts andnuts,ERclips,liners,woodensleepers,fittingsofguardrail,cementconcreteslabs,levelcrossingslabs from anywhere in India including collecting small quantities of materials from variousscatteredlocationsinmidsection/yards/LCs/anyotherlocationoverIndianRailwaystoanyspecifiedlocationoftheprojectortoPWaydepotbycontractorsroadvehicleincludinghandling,re‐handling including multiple loading and multiple unloading (away from running track) asrequired, stacking/arranging them ina systematicandcountablemanneron the formationatspecifiedlocation(s)inyard/midsectionorinPWaydepotoratanyotherlocationasdirectedwith contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables,loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and siteconditionsincludingcrossingoftrackswhereverrequireddulyobservingallsafetyincludingalllead,ascent,descent,taxes,duties,cess,octroi,feeetc.completelyasperthespecialconditions/specifications/regulations,asdirectedbytheEngineer‐in‐Chargeandasperthenote(s)below.Notes:1.Thisitemhas2sub‐items.Forsub‐item(a),theunitisMTandassuchtheratedoesnotdependuponthedistance.Sub‐item(b)isforpaymentoverandabovesub‐item(a).Forpaymentinsub‐item (b), sub‐item (a) will be paid for weight of materials transported and the lead over andabove 50 km will be considered for arriving at the quantity of sub‐item (b);2. For the purpose of payment, the shortest feasible road route will be considered unlessotherwise warranted with prior approval of Dy. Chief Engineer. The decision of railways inassessing the distance and feasibility of the route is final and binding on the contractor;3.Incaseofanydamagetomaterialswhileloading/unloading/stacking/arrangingthem,thecost of damaged materials, as decided by the Engineer‐in‐Charge, will be recovered.(a) for a lead from more than 0 km and less than 50 km
