Wednesday 5 JuneThis Ministry of Defence organised event is the focal point of national commemorations.
Morning Major national commemorative event on Southsea Common. Watch the televised coverage on giant screens and see an RAF flypast, including a Spitfire.
Afternoon/Evening Watch a Red Arrows flypast and see the departure of MV Boudicca, chartered by The Royal British Legion, as it carries 300 D-Day veterans to Normandy.

Thursday 6 JuneAll day Watch coverage of D-Day 75 from Normandy on big screens on Southsea Common.
10:45am The Royal British Legion D-Day Memorial Service, D-Day Stone, opposite South Parade Pier. Parking available on Castle Field.

Friday 7 June10:30am Portsmouth Music Hub performing a special composition, main stage,Southsea Common. 1,000 children will perform a song about D-Day accompanied by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines School of Music. The song has been written by Portsmouth Music Hub especially for the D-Day 75 commemorations.
5pm Military Concert band, main stage, Southsea Common.
6pm Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and a specially formed young person’s choir performing a composition by James Olsen, inspired by reminiscences of D-Day veterans and the D-Day Story, main stage, Southsea Common.
7pm Open air cinema screening of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, main stage, Southsea Common.

Saturday 8 June 9am onwards The Portsmouth Revival Festival. A weekend of family entertainment and activities, with music and dancing from the 1940s, arena displays, military and vintage vehicles, vintage fairground rides, a 1940s market, all on Southsea Common. You are invited to dress in 1940s style for the occasion.
3:45pm Red Arrows flypast.
7:30pm Sunset Concert for Heroes, a free unticketed 1940s themed concert featuring the Portsmouth Military Wives Choir, the Royal Marines Association Concert Band and the D-Day Darlings, main stage, Southsea Common.
10pm Fireworks display, Southsea Common, supported by Gunwharf Quays.
