Regional Officer Outreach

All Regional Officers will engage in in-person presence throughout the region.

1) Executive Officers will attend one event within their district and two events outside of their district, outside of their home chapter. This may include attendance at ‘Adopted Chapter’ events.

2) District Officers will attend one event within their district and one event outside of their district, outside of their home chapter. This may include attendance at ‘Adopted Chapter’ events. District Officers are only required one ‘out of District’ event due to the ground work required to facilitate the success of Adopted Chapters.

3) Attendance at events will be communicated to Brandon Cornute, Ohio Regional Vice President and verified by the hosting chapter. Excel file documentation will be maintained for evaluation of completion of goal.

Title IX Training and Certification

All Regional Officers will obtain Title IX Reporter Training and certification.

By obtaining Title IX certification, Regional Officers will become a neutral party resource for questions, education, and reporting in lieu of the growing harassment incidences on college campuses.

We hope to engage chapters within the region to secure or seek out an on campus Title IX Representative.

Further goal, policy, and service opportunity development will be ongoing throughout the year.

The above named individuals will be invited to assist with presenting the information to maintain the integrity of the program.

This intensive review of the ‘basics’ of Phi Theta Kappa will be integrated as part of the ‘New Member Track’ breakout sessions at the Leadership in Action and Honors in Action Conferences.
