Okame Cherry Prunus ‘Okame’ Description: Small ornamental cherry with an upright rounded crown shows beautifully in all seasons. Mature size is 15-25’ tall and up to 20’ wide. Leaves are alternate, simple and oval shape. Dark green foliage in summer turns bright copper orange-yellow in the fall. It has an impressive bronze red bark with prominent horizontal lenticels. The pink flowers are very showy with red flower parts. The fruit is rarely noticeable and not a problem for this ornamental cherry. Habitat: Plant in full sun or partial shade. Tolerant of most soil conditions and moderately drought tolerant.
