A synod will be initiated by Pope Francis inOctober, which has its roots in Vatican II, and is a way for all of us to have ourvoices heard as he considers needed changes in the Church. The first phase ofthis process is the only one that we will have an impact on. This phasebegins on October 17 and continues through April of 2022, a 6 monthperiod. There is a questionnaire and handbook from the Vatican which ourdiocesan leadership has received. If you have not heard from them, please emailCommunications Team at [email protected] for moreinformation so we can provide you with ways to participate.
