But then, after Christ-mas, we see a little bit more light each day. As human beings, we seem to focus on the darkness, on the difficulties and the problems. But our faith tells us that what will endure is the light, the gifts, the blessings: of all things, what will endure is

Christmas Baskets
We are so grateful to all those who participated in the Christmas Basket program this year; all those who adopted a family, who donated to buy food, and to those of you who wrapped and distributed the baskets. You have made a tremendous differ-ence in the lives of the 157 families that received baskets. What a wonder-ful demonstration of the Christmas Spirit. Plumbing Update
We have received just over half of the funds needed for the neces-

First Pancake Breakfast of 2019!
Next Sunday, January 13, the Parish Men’s Club will be serving their pancake breakfast in the parish hall from 8:00 to 11:00 AM. Come and enjoy all you can eat pancakes, omelets, sausage, coffee and orange juice! Adults $8 and children $4.

Caminarán los pueblos a tu luz y los reyes, al resplan-dor de tu aurora. Aunque en diciembre sabemos que los días son más cortas, nos acordamos que las tinieblas no van a durar por siempre: después de navidad cada día habrá más luz. Muchas veces enfocamos más en las ti-nieblas: en los dificultades y problemas. Nuestra fe nos acuerda que lo que va durar es la luz: los dones y bendi-ciones, y sobre todo el poder del Amor y Caridad. Em-pecemos entonces el año nuevo de 2019 con la actitud de los Reyes Magos: vemos la luz de la estrella y encontramos la presencia del Señor donde esta luz nos guía: a un niño, una tía vieja, un amigo enfermo. Hoy, la fiesta de la Epifanía, nos acuerda que Jesús también se llama EMA-NUEL: DIOS CON NOSOTROS.
¡Qué el Señor los bendiga por todo este año nuevo!
