Due to unexpected work commitments, Atilla Balla has resigned his positions as Vice-president (members) and compound
coach. And after making such a brilliant start chairing the October club meeting! Chris de Mello, who was vice-president last
year, has agreed to resume the position, but in doing so he resigns from the Tournament Director position.
So we now have the following positions vacant:
Tournament director; Secretary; Librarian; Compound Coach
Please consider volunteering no more than 2 hours per week in one of these roles. You won’t be dropped in the deep end,
but will be helped to learn the ropes. The club is run by volunteers, so if no-one comes forward, the jobs won’t be done.

organisation. For more information go to: https://screening.sa.gov.au/
Last month our Librarian, Randy Coon, notified me that he is withdrawing from the Librarian Position as he will be
moving to Western Australia. I would like to thank Randy for his service over the past several years. His enthusiasm has
been appreciated. The current magazine subscription to Bow International will continue as will Archery Focus.
From the coaching co-ordinator, James Henriks:
I am organising a twilight beginner’s course to clear the waiting list and a few January hopefuls. This course will
start on Tuesday 27 November for three weeks. The course scheduled for January 2019 is full.
I will need to borrow some club equipment on Saturday 1 December for a Camp Quality at Narnu Farm, Hind-
marsh Island. Pam and Dean Pettman will be assisting me.

LIBRARY
The latest issue of Bow International is now available at
the club.
The club still has about 18 months to run for our sub-
scription to the online-only magazine Archery Focus.
Daniel will print out a hardcopy each time we get it and
make it available in the clubrooms so our members still
get the benefit from it. Some current articles are:
“Hinge Release Aids, Part 2” by Tom Dorigatti (8 pages)
“More Advanced Tuning of Recurve Bows by Bob Ryder (4 pages)
“Curing Target Panic” by Chris Hill (4 pages)
Remember that club members can borrow
books from the library any time. Just ask a
club officer to open one of the cabinets for
you and to check the book out.
A number of books have been purchased
in the last 3-4 years, and there are many
older ones that are of considerable historic
interest.
The library also has back issues of all the
magazines.
