Drawn to makers and artists, the partners and co-founders of Du Verre, Gina Lubin and Gavin McLean, have made a career of collaborating with talented craftspeople, designers, and visionaries to produce original artifacts for the home and work place. Hands-on and designers in their own right, Lubin and McLean have helped to realize a sophisticated offering of original ideas and details to enhance everyday life. This collection of sculptural knobs and pulls ref lects their classic sensibility.

GREEN INITIATIVES
Du Verre has responded to the growing awareness regarding sustainability and the responsible use of resources and materials by choosing recycled aluminum for its hardware.
Du Verre manufactures its hardware using post-consumer recycled aluminum. Using post-consumer recycled aluminum reduces the generation of air and water pollution by 95% and requires only 5% of the energy that would otherwise be used in the production of new metals. Manufacturing this way generates a small fraction of the greenhouse gasses normally expelled in this process. The result is a softer footprint on the planet.

DESIGNERS
Gina Lubin and Gavin McLean are the two founding partners of Du Verre: The Hardware Co. They have guided Du Verre in a multi-faceted journey through the design world for the last three decades. With a background in architectural glass, retail, and furniture design, Lubin and McLean have shared responsibilities for the creative direction of the hardware company since its inception.
Jeff Goodman was a talented glass artist. He was known for creating large-scale glass vessels. His sensuous and beautiful artworks have been placed in both commercial and residential interiors throughout North America.
Clodagh is the award winning, Irish-born designer known for her unique blending of modern technology, natural materials, and ancient techniques. With an emphasis on the inventive and sustainable use of materials, her work celebrates unexpected design elements, innovative use of light and shadow, and the incorporation of global influences.
Jeffrey Goodman and Steven Charlton have been creating remarkable interiors for over two decades. With a bi-coastal design practice, their signature work can be seen in such places as the Marcel Hotel and Empire Hotels in New York.
Scot Laughton is an award-winning industrial designer. He has created work for some of the leading design companies in the world including Herman Miller, Keilhauer, and Umbra.
Christopher Smith is an independent industrial designer who has created a wide range of products, including trade show exhibits, packaging, furniture, and lighting collections. He is a founding partner and Design Director for EastMainDesign.com
William Harvey lives and works in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Trained as a sculptor, Harvey has exhibited his fine art works in Washington, D.C. and New York. He has designed collections of home accessories since 1991. His work includes window hardware collections, furniture, and tabletop items.
Erin Adams is an award-winning mosaic artist and interior designer. Adams won the Chrysler Corporation Design Innovator Award in 2007 and was nominated for the Cooper-Hewitt National Museum’s 2009 National Design Awards program for excellence in Product Design. She has been a major designer and head of her own company for over two decades.
Heinz Pfleger was trained in Austria and now makes his home in Canada. He is one of North America’s most talented metalsmiths. He concentrates primarily on one-of-a-kind architectural projects and fine furniture.

FINISHESD I E C A S T H A R D W A R EDu Verre’s die cast hardware is precision engineered entirely from recycled aluminum. It is elegant, beautiful, environmentally-friendly, and easy to install.

S A N D C A S T H A R D W A R ESome designs lend themselves to sand casting. Sand casting is a labor-intensive method of manufacturing hardware that is suitable for producing small batches of unique products. Sand cast pieces may have slight variations in the f inishes due to the handmade nature of the fabrication process.
Du Verre has created unique design-driven collections of knobs and pulls for kitchens, baths, f ine furniture, and well-designed interiors.
Our precision die cast hardware is manufactured primarily from recycled aluminum and is an environmentally friendly choice. Du Verre Hardware is compatible with LEED objectives.
Du Verre is f inished by hand and small variations in the f inal color may occur. These variations add warmth and beauty to each piece and are not considered defects. Please keep that in mind when making your selection.

Du Verre Hardware is low maintenance and requires a minimum of care. To clean, simply dust or polish with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid the use of chemicals (harsh cleaners or abrasives) as these can break down the finishes.
Du Verre Hardware is most suitable for interior use, including kitchens, bathrooms, and on fine furniture and important doors.
