My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,
This week we look forward to both the Solemnity of All Saints and the
Commemoration of All Souls.
The Solemnity of All Saints (November 1st) is a Holy Day of Obligation
and we will follow our Holy Day Mass Schedule which you can find on
the front page of the bulletin and on our website. Speaking of our web-
site – please visit our webpage and register with your name and email
address. It is very easy and it gives us the opportunity to send you a
weekly update on what is happening in the parish and to contact you
when there is news that we need to get out before the weekend. It is a
great blessing!
The Commemoration of All Souls (November 2nd) is not a day of obliga-
tion but it is certainly one of our holiest days. It is the day when we re-
member all our loved ones who have gone before us: we thank God for
them, commend them to His bountiful care, and look with hope to being
with them again when the Lord calls us to Himself as well. We have en-
velopes available at all the entrances to the church where you can add the
names of your beloved deceased to our All Souls Novena. Just drop the
envelope into the regular collection basket.
On the Commemoration of All Souls we will celebrate a special Mass of
Remembrance, Saturday, November 2nd at 8:00 a.m. The Mass will be
multilingual and will include a special remembrance of our fellow pa-
rishioners who have died in the past year and of their families. If some-
one you loved was called home by the Lord this past year and we have
not yet contacted you please contact our office and confirm the name of
your family member and give us a photo of them for our remembrance –
and of course join us for Mass.
What a beautiful way to start the month: looking to heaven, thankful in
love and filled with hope.

Mi Querida Familia de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes,
Esta semana esperamos tanto la solemnidad de Todos los Santos como la
Conmemoración de los Fieles Difuntos.
La solemnidad de Todos los Santos (1ro de noviembre) es un día de pre-
cepto y vamos a seguir nuestro Horario de Misas de días de precepto que
se puede encontrar en la primera página del boletín y en nuestro sitio
web. Hablando de nuestro sitio web - por favor visite nuestra página web
y regístrese con su nombre y dirección de correo electrónico. Es muy
fácil y nos da la oportunidad de enviar una actualización semanal sobre
lo que está ocurriendo en la parroquia y estar en contacto con usted cuan-
do hay noticias que tenemos que sacar antes del fin de semana. ¡Es una
gran bendición!
La Conmemoración de los Fieles Difuntos (2 de noviembre) no es un día
de obligación pero sin duda es uno de los días más sagrados. Es el día en
que recordamos a nuestros seres queridos que se han ido antes que noso-
tros: damos gracias a Dios por ellos, los encomendamos a Su cuidado
generoso, y miramos con esperanza de estar con ellos de nuevo cuando el
Señor nos llame a estar con El también. Tenemos sobres disponibles en
todas las entradas de la iglesia donde puede añadir el nombre de su ser
querido fallecido a nuestra Novena de todas las Almas. Sólo tiene que
depositar el sobre en la canasta de la colecta regular.
En la conmemoración de los Fieles Difuntos, celebraremos una Misa en
Memoria, el Sábado, 2 de Noviembre a las 8:00 am. La misa será multi-
lingüe y contará con un recuerdo especial de nuestros feligreses que han
muerto en el último año y de sus familias. Si un ser querido suyo fue lla-
mado por el Señor a casa el año pasado y aún no nos hemos puesto en
contacto con usted, por favor comuníquese con nuestra oficina para con-
firmar el nombre de su familiar y nos da una foto de ellos para nuestra
conmemoración - y por supuesto acompáñenos a la Misa.
¡Qué hermosa manera de empezar el mes: mirando hacia el cielo, agrade-
cido de amor y lleno de esperanza!

the souls of our loved ones who have passed from this life during this year and are now residing with Our
Father in heaven. You are all invited to attend this special celebration in memory of our loved ones.
If your loved one died between October 2012 and September 2013, and we have not contacted you as yet,
please call the Parish Office to confirm the name of your family member and their date of death for inclu-
sion in the memorial.

All Souls Novena All Souls Day Novena begins on the actual Feast Day of All Souls, Saturday, November 2nd. Don’t forget to fill out one of the special All Souls Envelopes with your loved ones’ names and drop it inside the offertory baskets at any Mass this weekend or at daily Mass. For your convenience,
the envelopes can be found at the entrance of the Church or Chapel.
