The Knights of Columbus will be holding the
Annual Tootsie Roll Drive after all Masses the
weekend of September 26 - 27. We will be
distributing Tootsie Rolls and accepting
donations to benefit organizations serving
Meriden area residents with intellectual
disabilities. We will strictly follow all COVID-19
precautions. We also are accepting donations
from those who are not at Mass. Individuals
or businesses can purchase a box of 50 Tootsie
Rolls for a donation of $50.00.

FOOD PANTRY NEWS
We are sure that most of you heard of the award winning, long running TV show, “2020”.
It had always been considered one of the best shows of its type. Well this year, the year 2020
certainly has not been award winning as a year. What has made it a great year though is YOU.
You have helped us move the Food Pantry from the basement to the room adjacent to the Parish
Office.
You have stocked it with your food donations and you have allowed us to supplement your
donations by providing financial support. You have helped us to reach so many more people in
need.
We would say that you have created an award winning service to both our parishioners and our
neighbors.
Because you have been so good, We need to ask you to continue your generosity. Since times
have been rough, the Food Pantry has been used by more families. This increase in need requires
us to restock more often, and your donations are how that restocking is done.
You can drop off any donations at anytime the office is open.

Are you someone or do you know someone who … *Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic? *Was baptized as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacrament's of Confirmation, Confession and the Eucharist? *Is currently unbaptized and wants to grow in spiritual life? *Has a different faith background but wants to learn what Catholics believe and why? *Is seeking to transform the mind and heart in the love of our Lord?
Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish is pleased to share our Roman Catholic Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Program for those adults seeking to join or learn more about the Catholic Church. We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about the rich history and traditions of Christian faith. Sessions focus on the teachings, beliefs and experience of the Catholic Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist during the Easter season. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story, in a warm accepting setting. Classes begin in the first week of September. Our Lady Queen of Angels has set up an Emergency Fund. The
purpose of the Emergency Fund is to help parishioners and the
community in this special time of need and to help replenish the
Food Pantry. If you are inclined to make a special donation to Our
Lady Queen of Angels Parish Emergency Fund you could do so
either by mailing a check to the parish office in a parishioner
envelope or you can contribute through our Parish Giving
program. To access our Parish Giving program, go to the
homepage of our website (www.olqoa.org) and click on the link
there. Once on the Parish Giving website, you can contribute by creating an account or clicking "Pay
Now". Either way you choose, there is an option under "Parish Collections" to contribute to the
