Preparing for Next Sunday The Ascension of the Lord
In the first reading, Luke recounts the many times that Jesus presented himself alive to his Apostles, his promise of the Holy Spirit to come, and Jesus’ being lifted up, (where) a cloud took him from their sight. In the second reading, Paul prays that the Ephesians may have wisdom and knowledge of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. In the Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples that they are witnesses to the things that had been written and fulfilled. Then he blesses them and is taken up to heaven.

Confirmation Confirmation II Early Registration Early registration for Confirmation Class of 2020 will be held on Sunday, June 9, after the 12:00 PM Mass, in the Parish Center. Students who have completed Confirmation I or Catholic high school first year theology are invited to register. Please bring copies of Baptism and First Communion certificates, proof of OLMC church membership, and $50 deposit. Early registration discount expires on July 31, 2019. AYC 2019 "Surrender to God" Teens in high school are invited to join Confirmation II at the Archdiocese Youth Conference (AYC) 2019, on July 26-28, 2019. Information packets can be picked-up in the vestibule of the church. Attention All Graduates! OLMC invites all 2019 graduates from 8th grade, 12th grade and college for an opportunity to be enrolled in the scapular, a special blessing for the beginning of their new journey and recognition of their accomplishments. It will be held on June 9th at the 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM Masses. We invite all graduates to wear their cap and gown and to sit in the front pews.

Catholic Daughters #1959 Birthday Party
All are invited to come help celebrate the 53rd birthday of Catholic Daughters Court #1959 on Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall (6320 Madden Lane). The cost is $10.00 per person. A meal will be served consisting of: B-B-Q chicken, sausage, potato salad, cole slaw, and beans. Birthday cake will also be served. Our entertainment for the afternoon will again be Vince King, a tribute artist, who will be paying tribute to the era of the "Rat Pack" - music/songs by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin!! Last year he paid tribute to Elvis Presley, which was very entertaining and enjoyed by all!! The court will also have a "brown bag" raffle at the party.
