Christmas Stewardship Everyday
“And the Word became flesh” John 1:14a
Jesus is God’s ultimate gift of love to us. The countless
other blessings that God showers upon us are nothing
compared to the gift of His only Son. The only appropriate
way for us to respond to such generous love is with our own
generous love. When we become His Stewards, we
dedicate our lives to sharing all the gifts God has placed in
our hands. Then the peace of Christ truly will control our
hearts and we will know Christmas joy everyday.

Sunday 8:00 A.M. J. Carney
Sunday 10:00 A.M. J. Dods
God has kept his promise. His Son is here! The
Word made flesh has arrived. Why is it so difficult
for many people to accept the Baby as God’s Gift to
us. Jesus took on a human body so as to become one
with us. How loving, how awesome is our God? We
should return His love with ours. Bring our children
into His Eucharistic presence and teach them to al-
ways be thankful to God for all His Gifts.
ADORERS, OFFER ONE HOUR THIS WEEK FOR
ALL WHO DO NOT CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF
JESUS; FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW
TO CELEBRATE HIM AND FOR THOSE WHO
DON’T CARE. PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE
ALONE THIS DAY THAT JESUS WILL
COMFORT THEM. PRAY FOR ALL CHILDREN
THAT THEY MAY REALLY UNDERSTAND THE
TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS.

Dear Parishioners,
The addition of the “Light From Bethlehem Candle”
to our Advent Wreath is worth noting. Its symbolic
purpose is related to the tradition of transporting the
Olympic flame from Athens, Greece to the site of the
Olympic Games in order to kindle a “new fire” to
mark the official Opening of the Olympiad Games.
This Bethlehem “flame” has been conveyed from
Bethlehem, flown to Austria, then on to New York,
where a delegation of Scouts and Leaders welcomed
its arrival with a ceremony. The flame was used to
ignite dozens of special oil lanterns which have
delivered this flame across America. One such
lantern was brought to our parish hall two weeks ago,
at which time, I as Diocesan Catholic Scouting
Chaplain presided over a brief ceremony during
which six Scouting/Youth Ministry leaders from
southern New Jersey further divided the flame,
lighting individual candle/lamps to “carry the flame
back to their parish”.
As your Pastor, together with Deacon Joe Lonergan
and the Parish Staff Members, we extend to you our
warmest wishes and prayers for a holy and joyous
Christmas.
You will be remembered in the Masses which I am
privileged to offer at Christmas.
Warmly,
Fr. Paul Harte & Deacon Joe Longergan

How are the readings chosen for Mass? Come learn this
and more. Deacon Joe will lead this program on Monday
evenings at 7:30 p.m. starting Monday, January 23rd

tests and the only required reading is your Bible.
One of our parishioners left their red
rosary beads in the Church.
They are very meaningful to her and
she is brokenhearted that she lost them.
Please return them to the parish office
if you find them. Thank you.
