BACM-2010 Students• Should follow a 4-year degree curriculum structure

of 120 – 144 credits.

• For the 7 programmes nominated for early introduction of the 4-year degree curriculum as from 2010/11, a“4-minus-1” curriculum model will enable students to normally complete the degree in 3 years’ time.

• It is because students are given an “Advanced Standing I” status for exempting 30 credits from the full loading requirement of 120 – 144 credits. They are required to do 90 – 114 credits only.

Optional – Minor, Free Electives

• Is it OK if I do not do Minor nor take any free elective courses?

YES. Provided that you complete the graduation requirements of the 90 CUs for graduation and the requirements in GE, School Cores and Major Required Courses.

• Can I do double Minors?

NO. Not enough credit loading for double Minors (114-21-18-51=24). With 24 credits’ spare loading at most, you cannot do double Minors which will need at least 30 credits (15x2), not to mention some students will have to spend additional 6 credits for EAP and/or 3 credits for CA.
