Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Just think...after the New Year rolls in then only a few more
months until Corvette season is back in full swing again.
As you all know this is my last year as club President. The last 3
years as President have been nothing short of excellent.
With all the great members we have and everyone getting involved in one way or another, it is great to see the membership active, like one big happy family. I will be staying on as a Board member for the next year, but I am sure Justin Bauer will do a great job as our new President. Thank you for making my position as President so easy and enjoyable and please welcome Justin with the same involvement and dedication to
the club.
With Christmas season upon us, there is a chance to ring the bell for Salvation Army Red Kettle with Ed, then the Jorn’s Z06 sneak peak dinner run, followed by our Christmas party in January. With all the busy body commotion during the Holidays, please don’t forget to send in your club membership renewal. If you don’t renew by
January 1st, your membership will lapse.
This Holiday season take the time to relax and enjoy family and friends or even reach out
to an old friend or make some new friends.
Show your kindness in your own special way. Make someone else have a great day by doing that little extra
giving.
See everyone at the Christmas Party if not before.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you all again for the great 3 years,
Mike Cropsey

Monthly Meeting Minutes - December 2, 2014
President Mike Cropsey called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. at Wally’s Spot with 53 members present. He asked that all cell phones be turned off during the meeting, and mentioned that the previous meeting’s minutes were on the backside of the agenda. Any corrections should be reported to any officer.
New Members: The club welcomed Mark and Bev Hendricks, 2001 C5 candy apple red Corvette.
New Cars or Project Cars: Harry Liebergen has his orange paint ordered for his next project car; Mike Rohr has a 3-speed transmission for sale; and Dan Terrien is looking to buy two C4 rims.
November Dinner Run: Roger Schroeder reported 8 people attended the run to the Seymour Hotel for a great meal and socializing.
Upcoming Christmas Party: Sue Rabideau is chairperson for this event. Wendy Cropsey reported in Sue’s absence. The party will be held on January 10, 2015, at Julie’s Café & Brick House located at 500 Grant Street, DePere, WI, beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $12.50 per person / non-member cost $20.00. Deadline to register is January 1, 2015. Mail check payable to Corvettes of the Bay to P.O. Box 13122, Green Bay, WI, 54307-3122. To participate in the gift exchange game, bring a new/unopened gift, approximately $20-$25 in value. Anyone who brings a gift to exchange will receive a gift. Any questions, please email Sue Rabideau at [email protected].
Treasurer’s Report: We are currently at 238 members, but will be starting our 2015 membership drive, which is currently at 138 paid members. Members are encouraged to pay their yearly dues and pick up their membership cards from Karen Forehand, Treasurer.
New Business: President Mike Cropsey briefly summarized the proposed 2015 budget discussed at the quarterly board meeting held earlier tonight. The club members approved the proposed budget. Mike also introduced the board members for 2015. He also announced that the by-laws would be amended to add one board member per 50 members and one member-at-large for voting purposes.
Pete Beane from Jorn’s Chevrolet in Kewaunee, WI, announced the first delivery of a 2015 Z06, 7-speed, orange coupe at his dealership. Pete is hosting a wine/cheese event to unveil the new 2015 Corvettes at Jorn’s on December 18, 2014. He is also running a special $5,000 discount on the 2014 corvettes through December 31, 2014.
Recent and Upcoming Car Shows: Mike Hannon attended the Chevy National Show in Chicago recently and reported it was a fantastic show with hundreds of cars. The earliest upcoming car show will not be held until February 2015.
50/50 Raffle: $50 won by Patty Vlieger, and $7 won by Harry Liebergen.
December Dinner Run: On December 18th meet at Jorn’s Chevrolet in Kewaunee, WI, at 5:30 p.m. to view the new 2015 Corvettes and then continue on to Port-O-Call located at 310 Milwaukee Street in Kewaunee for dinner.
Save the Date: Ed/Linda Wallander and Dave/Donna Musial will host our annual Spring Run. Linda reports the run will take place on May 16-17, 2015, with a drive to Heidel House Resort and Spa, 643 Illinois Ave, Green Lake, WI. Call (920) 294-3344 to make your reservation. Be sure to ask for the Corvettes of the Bay room rate ($89/standard Northwoods or $119/deluxe Lakeview). These prices include 2 tickets for the Escapade Cruise on the lake. More information will follow.
Salvation Army: Ed Villiesse reported that red kettle bell ringers are needed on December 17th to help out at Bay Park Square Mall at the entrances of Younkers and the Food Court. Please contact Ed if interested. This event would be great exposure for our club.
President Mike Cropsey provided Corvettes of the Bay refrigerator magnets made by his print shop for members to take home, and he also extended birthday and anniversary wishes to all members celebrating in the month of December. The meeting was adjourned at 8:39 p.m.

Bylaw Amendment for 2015
It has been discussed and motioned to add Board Member positions to the club based on total membership count.
Membership counts of 1 to 150 would have 3 board members minimum, then one board member added per 50 members after 150 membership count.
EXAMPLES:
178 members would be 3 board members plus 1 to equal 4.
210 members would be the original 3 board members minimum plus 2 to equal 5.
This count would be taken the month before general club elections and posted for needed positions on ballot at election to meet the required amount of board members.
Board member position count could change year to year, and will remain a yearly position, with a maximum of 2 consecutive years to serve if re-elected.
In addition to the added board members we will be adding a “member-at-large” position to act as a voting tie-breaker and to be more involved in membership committees.
This motion will be voted on at the next club meeting on January 6, 2015.
Please make sure and attend to make your vote count!
