Company History

The Reilly Group of Companies was founded in 1932 as Toronto’s first

commercial locksmithing company; with a vision to provide local

residents and businesses with quality locksmith services – partnered with

a level of service that was not available from any other provider.

Quality service has been the cornerstone of our company since 1932, and

continues to be our paramount concern 80 years later. After 8 decades of

service excellence, the Reilly Group of Companies has grown to offer fully

integrated security solutions to all of its partners, from the smallest

residential home to multi-million square foot commercial real estate

properties.

As times have changed, so have the Reilly Group of Companies; which

now offers a multitude of services to our partners including; state-of-the-

art security systems, innovative manpower solutions, full investigative

services, executive protection, professional consulting services, and a

great deal more. All of these services are built upon the same principles

of custom service delivery that made our original Locksmith company the

professional standard often imitated by our competitors.

With Reilly’s steady and sustained growth, combined with a focus on our

customers, the organization has evolved into a total security solution

provider, unmatched by other companies. Our security services division,

Reilly Security, has quickly become a leader in the market by integrating

all of The Reilly Group of Companies services and products to

complement the services offered by Reilly Security. All security

professionals are trained and ready to service all residential, industrial,

and commercial needs.

Ownership

Reilly Security was established in 1996 as a division of The Reilly Group of

Companies, which was founded in 1932. Reilly’s is a privately held, non-

unionized company owned by Nick Migliore and Carmine Panaro. Reilly

Security is licensed with the Province of Ontario as a Security Guard and

Private Investigator services provider.

Reilly Security

Reilly Security is a service-driven security guard provider focused on superior client support, staff

training and development, employee motivation, and ensuring low turnover for our partners. Reilly

Security services commercial, industrial, and residential clients across the Greater Toronto Area. Our

services include security guard patrols, access control, asset protection, mobile security solutions, and

other services typically performed by licensed security guards.

Executek International

Drawing on decades of international experience, Executek consults to business and industry

executives across a wide range of sectors on security matters such as physical design specifications,

threat/risk assessment and security management planning. With a global outreach capacity that

spans over 165 countries, our extensive operations menu affords our clients a customized response

to local or global aggressions and/or occasions that require absolute resolution. By properly assessing

a client’s needs and deploying a tailored program executed by experienced staff trained in a number

of disciplines, Executek International delivers turnkey risk management solutions that promote client

safety, solid risk mitigation, and peace of mind.

Reilly Lock & Security Systems

Reilly Lock is renowned for carrying a complete line of the most advanced security products available

on the market. Reilly Lock offers a large variety of safes, padlocks, security grills, and roll shutter

systems. Reilly’s team of industry professionals is committed to providing exceptional service for all

residential, industrial, commercial, and corporate needs. An on-site installation team connects

everything from locks to electronic surveillance equipment, as well as servicing existing products.

Reilly’s prides itself on providing the highest level of door security available. As a full-service,

completely integrated security company, Reilly’s carries a comprehensive line of alarms. Everything

from dependable residential alarms to intricate business systems is stocked. All alarms will be furnished and installed, with

no-charge security evaluations. Alarm monitoring is also offered through a reputed monitoring company, and alarm

response packages are available through the security division.

Paul’s Lock & Security Systems

In 2006, Reilly’s purchased Paul’s Lock & Alarms (later changed to Paul’s Lock & Security Systems)

located in Barrie Ontario. Paul’s Lock, with a rich and humble history beginning in 1960 continues its

reputation as the top locksmithing company north of Toronto. Paul’s offers all of the products and

services that our clients have come to expect from Reilly Lock & Security Systems!

Reilly Security Systems Trinidad

In 2008, as part of our aggressive growth and expansion strategy, Reilly Lock & Security systems had

the opportunity to extend our services to Central America by establishing a branch office in the Port

of Spain, Trinidad. Reilly Security Systems was the first commercial locksmithing group to introduce

advanced IP camera systems and integrated security systems to the commercial and residential

markets of Trinidad and Tobago. Since our launch, Reilly’s has been involved in many “firsts” in the

Caribbean market, including the introduction of Medeco high security locks, and residential

automation and security integration projects.

CanCheck Screening & Security

Reilly Security has partnered with CanCheck to provide third party screening services to our client

base. CanCheck is able to perform numerous background and screening services including; criminal

backgrounds, credit reports, personal property searches, vehicle abstracts, license plate reports,

education and employment verifications, and many more! CanCheck supports your employee and

contractor needs with the goal of minimizing the legal and financial risks of hiring individuals who

could pose a risk to your employees, client relationships, or corporate reputation.

Senior Leadership Team

Chief Executive Officer, RGC - Carmine Panaro

Carmine has over 30 years as a locksmith and physical security professional, designated by numerous Ontario

Courts as an expert witness in the areas of safes, locks, and door security. Through his experience, Carmine has

been instrumental to the physical security industry; having participated in the design of the Medeco High Security

deadbolt, our own Reilly Lock keyway, and lock-up strong rooms for the Canadian government.

President, RGC - Nick Migliore, BA, MBA, CFE

As a veteran risk management professional and Certified Fraud Examiner, Nick is an expert in investigative

services, risk management solutions, and security planning. Having served as Executive Director of the CN Tower

and Director of Security for TrizecHahn Corporation, his experience has global reach. Nick is a board member of

Toronto Victim Services, and the Toronto Association of Police and Private Security.

President, Executek - Kim Derry, O.O.M.

Retired Deputy Chief of Police for the City of Toronto, Kim Derry’s 38 year career in law enforcement brings

forward his expertise in policing operations and executive leadership. Kim was responsible for all 17 police

divisions, comprising of 4221 uniformed and civilian personnel, and a budget of $490 million dollars.

Director, Risk Management - Glenn Phyper, BA

Retired Staff Sergeant and 31 year veteran of the Toronto Police Service, Glenn Phyper is a leading specialist in the

development and implementation of innovative policies, procedures, and cost effective solutions. His areas of

specialization include emergency management, business continuity, and organizational resilience. In 2007, he

created the first-of-its-kind counter terrorism procedures for Canada’s largest municipal police service.

Director, Backgrounds & Screening - Karen Layne

Karen has over 20 years in the private investigations and screening industry, with specializations in financial fraud

and associated crime and modern pre-screening techniques. Karen oversees all background investigations

undertaken by Executek International and CanCheck Screening Services.

Director, Executive Protection - Sean Blackmore

Sean Blackmore is a seasoned law enforcement professional with 41 years of combined policing and intelligence

experience. Retiring from the United States Secret Service (USSS) as the Canadian Liaison to the Toronto Resident

Office, Sean was responsible for investigating cases and obtaining intelligence on matters of pertinent interest to

the United States of America. Further investigative capacities include the Canadian Security Intelligence Service

and Toronto Police Service.

Director, Information Technology Security – Michael Soltys, PhD

Respected author, highly sought-after educational speaker, and currently an Associate Professor of Computing and

Software at McMaster University, Faculty of Engineering, Michael Soltys brings state-of-the-art knowledge and

experience to Executek International’s Information Technology (IT) sector. In addition to journal and conference

publications, Michael has written two computer science books, one on algorithms from an engineering

Toronto Association of Police and Private Security

Our Mission Statement is simple. We will provide active support to our municipal, provincial, and federal law

enforcement officers, and members of the safety and security community in order to establish for our clients

and citizens a high quality of life and safety in the Toronto Area. TAPPS will facilitate education, training,

information, and intelligence sharing in partnership with the Toronto Police Service to mobilize public and

American Society of Industrial Security

The ASIS International Toronto Chapter is an association comprised of security professionals that are members,

associates or guests. The Toronto Chapter is diverse and the membership is knowledgeable in the various

facets that can comprise the security profession and industry. The Toronto Chapter further encourages and

The ACFE is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and

education. Together with more than 60,000 members, the ACFE is reducing business fraud world-wide and

inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession. The Certified Fraud Examiner

(CFE) credential denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence. CFEs around the

Association of Professional Security Agencies

To enhance the image of the security practitioners industry across Canada through the maintenance of
