  • We hope your experience in 2013 was successful and full of memorable moments. We have been very fortunate to have tremendous field crews (Owatonna Park and Recreation), concession stand workers (parents) that volunteer their time and energy, and generous support from local businesses. With that said, another year is upon us. Here are the tournaments scheduled for 2014. These are all hosted by Owatonna.

Our success continues to hinge on the volunteer efforts of parents and community members of Owatonna. We are hoping that you join us in 2014 for another year of youth baseball in Owatonna. Thank you from the Huskies Bullpen Club!

“Never show up your teammates on or off the field. This is a violation of trust and will earn you a trip to the principal’s office in a hurry.” Tony La Russa, St. Louis Hall of Fame Manager

“Compete against your opponent, not yourself. The game has to be played with a Me vs. You and not a Me vs. Me mentality. You must be able to control the mental side of competition. Never doubt yourself.” John Savage, UCLA Head Baseball Coach - 2013 NCAA National Champions

“Adversity is going to strike. What are you going to do when it does? Players must have a mental strategy that will help them battle one pitch at a time.” Ken Ravizza, PH.D., Sport Psychology Consultant - California State University, Fullerton and Anaheim Angels.

“There are three things I ask from my pitching staff. 1) Throw strikes. 2) Throw low strikes. And, 3) Throw low strikes that are thrown in and out of the plate.” Dave Serrano - Head Baseball Coach - University of Tennessee
