OXIFREE TRIAL FOR ADMA-OPCO PHOTOS AND RESULTS OF TRIAL SPOOL

1 OXIFREE TRIAL FOR

ADMA-OPCO Photos and results of trial spool (on 25 july 2012)

INTRODUCTION:

ADMA OPCO requested LIWA Chemicals Abu Dhabi carry out a trial of Oxifree TM198 on a Spool, which would be transported offshore and left on deck for a period of 1 year to prove the capabilities and effectiveness for protection of bolted structures and complex geometric assemblies in an offshore environment. The Gulf region of The Middle East has some of the highest levels and salinity and humidity in the world, at roughly 50,000 ppm salinity.

24 CONCLUSION:

ADMA OPCO were highly impressed with the results and did not sanction any material to be removed during the 1-year trial period. The results of the corrosion inhibition around the removed/damaged areas however actually compounded there positivity towards the capabilities of Oxifree TM198 to protect offshore structures. ADMA OPCO have given product approval for Oxifree TM198 as a result of this trial.
