YCBA Members are invited to attend a

FREE YOGA CLASS Sponsored by The Women In Law Committee

Instructor Larry C. Heim, Esq., ERYT

Monday, April 3, 2017 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM Yoga for Life - 1638 E Market Street, York

Whether you are have never tried yoga or are an advanced yoga student, this class is for YOU!

Yoga For Life provides instruction for all levels in the Barkan Method of Hot Yoga.

This special YCBA class will be a “warm” version (not too hot!).

Bring your own mat, towel and plenty of water. All students must complete a waiver form in order to participate. Space is limited to 30 members. Registration is required.

First come, first reserved! Call 854-8755x203, email [email protected] or visit www.yorkbar.com.

The studio is located at the Corner of E. Market & Belmont Streets on the second floor of the Soap Suds Laundromat Building. Free parking is available in the lot or on Belmont Street.

About the class: The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga is a style of Hatha Yoga that originated from a lineage in Calcutta, India, starting with Paramahansa Yogananda. his brother and student Bishnu Ghosh, Ghosh’s student Bikram Choudhury, and Bikram’s student Jimmy Barkan. Jimmy worked as an instructor and trainer for Bikram for over 20 years. While the Barkan Method has its roots in Bikram Yoga, it differs in that it provides a greater variety of poses, and it incorporates vinyasa flow, with an emphasis on upper body work and poses to strengthen the core. The series of twenty-six to thirty postures done in a heated room with elevated humidity is designed to scientifically warm and stretch the muscles, ligaments and tendons, in the order in which they should be stretched for optimum benefit. The heat makes the exercise aerobic (without impact on the joints), allows you to stretch deeper while avoiding injury, and detoxifies the body. The result is vastly improved balance, flexibility, strength, mental clarity and focus. About the instructor: Larry Heim, ERYT is certified in The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga, Levels I, II and III. Larry has had over 500 hours of certification training and over 2,000 hours of teaching experience. As a twenty-five year cancer survivor, Larry has been trained as a teacher of Yoga for the Chronically Ill, and together with his wife, Marie-Noëlle Walsh, RYT, runs an 8 week program at Apple Hill for breast cancer survivors. They also teach Partner Yoga, having been trained by Heike Farkas from Germany and Elysabeth Williamson from Calfornia. Larry has also taken classes with Master Teachers Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, Baron Baptiste and Rusty Wells.

Few legends of the trial bar are as active and as inspiring as Michael Tigar. He does not ruminate about glories past, but uses a lifetime of trial victories and set-backs to illuminate the tactics and strategies that he uses in cases today for maximum effect. Using 5 cases – ranging from complex multidistrict litigation to a seemingly ordinary defective consumer product case – Michael Tigar will set out basic principles that should guide you through any litigation, then show how these principles and practices work in real-life situations. Understand how to invest your time and resources effectively. Litigation involves a series of investment decisions. More than one careful study has shown that lawyers do not allocate time and resources efficiently. Michael Tigar will teach you how to use your resources in the best way possible. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PLEASE REGISTER DIRECTLY WITH THE PENNSYLVANIA BAR INSTITUTE**
