  • 6. Margo Roth Spiegelman
Margo Roth Spiegelman is also a Senior attending at Winter Parks High School. As described by Quentin, She is also physically beautiful with a slim body and attractive eyes. It is easy to forget the world is full of people, full to bursting, and each of them imaginable and consistently misimagined.

  • 8. Marcus Radar Lincoln
One of two of Quentins best friends since childhood who is mentally equipped with intelligence regarding technology. Radar created Omnictionary with the sense of helping people in need of technical problems. He was nicknamed Radar because Ben and Quentin had always thought he was someone that would come out in the MASH series. As time progressed and his physical appearance has also changed, he looked nothing like a person should come out in MASH, but the name just stuck with him,
Later he uses his technical skills to pave way to find clues left by Margo Spiegelman..
Being the loyal friend he is, he accompanies Quentin in search for Margo by using his massive amount of knowledge he possess with a couple clicks in the computer.
"The longer I do my job the more I realize that humans lack good mirrors. It's so hard for anyone to show us how we look, and so hard for us to show anyone how we feel.

  • 10. Ben Starling
Quentins other best friend who is the complete opposite of Radar. Ben plays the clarinet in the school band at Winter Parks High School. He is an easygoing person with simple goals in his mind. Ben always manages to construct ridiculous ideas that are so simple, that they are much more efficient than actually brainstorming. He is physically gifted in terms of height and body build, yet he had always lack the mind of a genius. His simplicity of clothing style defined his simple minded personality.
Being Quentins best friend, Ben is dragged into the Margo Spiegelman conflict. Given his carefree personality, he had no hesitation in helping his best friend.
"She's the kind of person who either dies tragically at twenty-seven, like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, or else grows up to win, like, the first-ever Nobel Prize for Awesome.

  • 12. What exactly is a papertown?
The novel itself, Papertowns figuratively speaks to the audience that it is quite easy to overlook things. As human beings it is easy for us to dehumanize our foes, but we unconsciously dehumanize the people we deeply care about. Within human nature, people tend to imagine the people they love as perfect persons and that causes us to restrict their emotions that correlate to our mental picture. In reality, imagination is very limited, but as people, imagining how the life of the people we love can be lived through our own eyes is as far as we can go. But by imagining being someone else can give us a better comprehension of a person, if carefully used in society, we can ultimately eliminate ignorance and hate.
  • 13. Obsession?
Quentin decides alone that he should search for Margo himself, despite the help of his companions, he had always felt alone through this journey. His odyssey to find Margo crosses the fine line of obsession; to a point where he skips senior prom, graduation, and the majority of his senior year. In the literature legends, in the novel Moby Dick: the character, Captain Ahab can be compared to Quentin Jacobsen. Captain Ahab was obsessed with killing one single whale, that he forgot about the rest of his life. This quickly correlates with Quentin as he shared the same desire in sense of searching for Margo. He also left the more important aspects of his life for his search. These two characters both shared a type of strong obsession towards their goal. Out of infatuation, pride, or loneliness, these two literature characters both share a very similar type of longing.
"Maybe all the strings inside him broke."
    -Ben
