MESSAGE FROM MRS. MAR: In the last few days as you continue to prepare for the birth of Jesus I pray that each of you experiences Christ’s Joy. As the 2018 Year comes to a close I want to take this time to thank you for the many joyful events you and your families have brought to our school community. As we each take time to spend with our families and friends I pray that it is a time of rest, relaxation, and peace. On behalf of the school staff I wish you a Blessed and Merry Christmas. May you also experience the many blessings God has planned for you in the New Year. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT VIDEO: DON’T FORGET TO ORDER YOUR VIDEO OF THE PAGEANT. The professional videographers filming the Christmas Pageant made sure to capture all aspects of the pageant, the actors, the singers, and the soloists. Videos will be sold at $25.00 each. Tomorrow is the last day to order. Please see attached order form. ROCKIN’ CRAB DINNER: Do you like crab? Do you like to Rock? Come and support our school at this year's Rockin' Crab Feed January 19, 2019! Tickets are $50 and that will get you marinated crab, pasta, salad, bread and brownies. We have many new and exciting elements being incorporated into this year's event, which include a live band for the cocktail hour! The live and silent auctions will feature a chance to win all inclusive hotels stays in the Caribbean, Panama and Mayan Riviera, and the raffle baskets include things like a family game night, spa baskets, Build-A-Bear teddy bear with a Dennis Uniforms doll romper and many more great items. MINIMUM DAY, NO CAMPUS CARE: Friday, December 21st will be the last day before Christmas vacation; it will also be a minimum day. Dismissal will be at 12:00 pm. We will not be having afternoon Campus Care on this day. The school office will close at 12:15pm, please make arrangements to have your children picked up at 12:00pm. CHRISTMAS VACATION: Christmas vacation will be from December 22nd through January 6th. Classes will resume on January 7th. The school office will be closed during vacation. CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS CHOIR: Calling all children ages 6 to 14 to sing for the 5:30pm Christmas Eve Mass. Practice days will be Dec. 20th from 3:30-5:30pm, and Dec. 23rd from 2:00-4:00pm. Please see attached registration form, you may call John Sandler at 209 331-3488 with any questions. CHRISTMAS PRAYER SERVICE: Please join us for our Christmas Prayer Service on Friday, Dec. 21st at 9:15 am in the church NICE DRESS UP DAY: The students may dress up nice on Friday, December 21st. This is not a free dress day; jeans, shorts, t-shirts, sweats, leggings are not allowed. Nice dress for our Prayer Service. CHRISTMAS ACCESSORIES DAY: Students can wear Christmas accessories tomorrow with their school uniforms. The approved accessories are Santa Hats, Christmas necklaces, Christmas socks, Elf Ears. NO ugly sweaters please, only accessories. Please see attached flyer. KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT: It’s time to get started with the Kindergarten enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year. If you have a child who will be 5 years by September 1st, please turn in an enrollment form. If you know of a family who might be interested in our school, please ask them to call the office.

BINGO SCHEDULE: Please be sure to check the Bingo schedule on Educate for your assigned shift. Please email Cari with questions at [email protected] or call 813-433-4242. SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: ! All parent volunteers must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Diocese of Stockton, need to fill out a volunteer packet, and do an online course at www.virtusonline.org in order to volunteer in the classroom or go on field trips. Packets are available in the office.
MASS CARDS: Please remember to turn in your Mass Attendance cards when going to the weekend Masses here at St. Anne’s Church. READ TO SUCCEED PROGRAM: Please remind your children to read over the Christmas break so they have a chance to earn a FREE ticket to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The deadline to turn in the Reading Log with parent signatures is Feb. 20, 2019. Late entrees are not accepted. If you need another Reading Log or have questions, please contact Mrs. Newton, [email protected]. TRIMESTER AWARDS: The trimester awards for grades 3-8 will be passed out after Mass on January 23. The students will be recognized for the following categories: Honor Roll GPA of 4.0, Academic Excellence GPA of 3.5 – 3.99, Academic Achievement GPA of 3.0-3.49 and Citizenship, which students must have score of 1 in all effort and conduct categories. Please join us for Mass and stay for the awards to recognize the students’ special accomplishments. ANNIE’S ANGELS: 6th – 8th grade students are welcome to help prepare and serve dinner at the Salvation Army Hope Harbor Shelter on Wednesday, January 9th from 3:45 – 5:30 pm. The shelter is located at 622 N. Sacramento St. A permission slip is required of all participants. IN APPRECIATION: Thank you the 8th grade parents for the wonderful lunch they provided for the staff today. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
DONATIONS NEEDED: Please consider making a donation to the Rockin' Crab Feed. You can make a basket or donate individual items. Empty baskets and bins (good condition) also appreciated! Have you met all your Scrip requirements for the year? How about donating some gift cards? Or underwriting the cost of a limo ride? These are all ways you can help! We also ask if you could reach out to your friends and family who may have a business or special talent and may want to donate their goods or services. BOOK FAIR THANK YOU: The book fair was a great success with the leadership of Mrs. Alyssa High. She was willing to bring several new activities this year to our school, which made the book fair a great success. We would like to thank Mrs. High and the following parents who were a huge help to her with all aspects of the fair.
