Closed Campus AppealAs part of our modified closed lunch policy, we have opened an appeals process for students who did NOT meet the GPA or Grades criteria for first semester of the 2018- 2019 school year. This appeals process will allow current sophomores, juniors, and senior students to use their posted 3rd Quarter grades to initiate an appeal to their respective Dean of Students. The GPA and Grades criteria will remain in place, with students required to have a 2.8 and No F’s in order to regain off campus lunch privileges. Grade point average will be calculated by either the Dean or the counselor of the student who is appealing the standing.

Controversial Issues in the ClassroomTownship High School District 214’s primary mission is to enable all students to learn the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the behaviors necessary for them to reach their full potential as citizens who can meet the challenges of a changing society. In a democracy that openly confronts acute and pressing political, social, economic, and moral problems, it is likely that such issues will be evident in classrooms. Discussions about these issues provide students with the type of learning experience that will help prepare them to meet the challenges of a global changing society.
