Redefining Ready

District 214 has adopted new college and career readiness indicators that have been spearheaded and created by our Superintendent Dr. Dave Schuler and The American Association of School Administrators (AASA). “Redefining Ready” is a national campaign to introduce new research-based metrics to more appropriately assess that students are college ready, career ready and life ready.

The indicators can be reviewed by visiting http://www.redefiningready.org

The Student Services team is committed to working with our students to educate them on what it takes to be college, career, and life ready. We are currently reviewing and modifying all guidance curriculum to include the new college/career indicators. Students learn in a variety of ways. They should be able to demonstrate readiness in a variety of ways. We look forward in working with them to become post-secondary ready!
