THE SCHOOL ALMANAC
Read the school almanac very carefully
Information to be correctly filled in the required places
Be regular in reading teachers’ feedback
UNIFORM
Correct and neat school uniform to be worn regularly. The new school logo must be worn. It is also available as a separate patch that can be
stitched on to the shirt.
The ID card to be maintained carefully and worn every day. If the students come to
school without ID card strict action will be taken.
The school shoes and cardigans must have name tags to prevent loss and confusion
PUNCTUALITY
All children must be in school by 8.25 a.m.
The school gates will close at 8.30 a.m. after which no child will be allowed entry
Entry between 8.25- 8.30 will lead to late marking in the almanac
Parents are requested to sign the same
If any child comes late for 3 days in a month, she will be sent home on the 3rd day
Minimum of 75% attendance is a compulsory criteria for
promotion
Whenever a child is absent the regularity page has to be duly
filled
When a child is absent for more than 3 days a letter has to be sent on a proper letter writing paper
addressed to the Principal
Doctor’s certificate & fitness certificate to be attached
wherever necessary
REGULARITY
DISPERSAL
It is mandatory for the escorts to carry the “with escort” card which has to be deposited at the gate .All dispersal will be from the gate. No escort will be allowed to enter
the school premises.
If the child wishes to go out on her own she must carry the “without escort” card
Early dispersal will not be permitted except for an emergency and upon the discretion of the Principal
ASSESSMENT STRUCTURESCHOLASTIC AREAS:
• Periodic tests will be held each term on syllabus covered till announcement of their
dates
• Notebooks/Portfolios will be assessed on neatness, regularity and upkeep
• Projects and other activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of
the students will be assessed for subject enrichment.
• Revised mode of assessment according to Board circular will have greater
percentage of Skill based and Application based questions .
• 40% of the question paper will include Higher Order Thinking Skill based
questions in both the terms.
• Half Yearly and Annual question papers of English, Hindi and Bengali will include
spelling and dictation.

• Syllabus for the Half Yearly Exam- entire First Term syllabus
• Syllabus for the Annual Exam-
o Class VI- 10% of first term syllabus + entire 2nd Term syllabus
o Class VII- 20% of first term syllabus + entire 2nd Term syllabus
o Class VIII- 30% of first term syllabus + entire 2nd Term syllabus
CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES:
For the holistic development of the student, the following co-curricular activities will
be graded each term on a 3 point grading scale-

SCHOLASTIC AREAS
OUR CLUBS
Clubs are held on every Monday.
The details of the clubs are provided in the school
almanac.
Clubs would be allotted according to the capacity and
availability of slots
Parents are requested to accept the school’s guidance on
allotting clubs to children as per their skill set and competence
Once a child is allotted a club, no change will be entertained
DO’S AND DON’TS
No colored clothes to be worn on birthdays
TV viewing and use of internet must be
strictly monitored at home
Refrain from using slang and indulging in
verbal or physical abuse to avoid adverse
impact on children
Bringing money to school should be
discouraged. Teachers will not be responsible
for loss or theft
Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed. If found
they will be confiscated for an indefinite period
The school phone must not be used without the prior permission of the
Principal
No gifts should be sent for the Principal or
teachers
Early dispersal is not allowed, if a child is
not well she should not be sent to school
In case a pupil needs to apply mehendi it should be done only on the palm
of the hand.
DO’S AND DON’TS
Before leaving desks and chairs to be in proper order,
lights and fans to be switched off , waste paper and all unwanted things to be thrown into the dustbin.
Students should not carry plastic bags, plastic pencil
cases and refrain from using thermocol. Paper and jute bags are available in the
stationery outlet on campus.
Escorts of bus students must show the identity card at their designated stop for
taking the students.
Students should be monitored while using the
internet connection at home.
CYBER RULE
Students below the age of 13 should abstain from creating accounts on social networking
sites like Facebook, Instagram , etc.
Portable electronic devices are not allowed in school. Students
using the same for academic purpose must carry a note signed
by the concerned teacher. Any unauthorized use of the device will lead to confiscation of the
same.
Students are not allowed to use any device – mobile, camera, internet, etc to photograph or
record picture of another person or school property.
Students are not allowed to participate in, contribute to, encourage any act of cyber
bullying or harassment of another staff/student in or outside school
premises.
Students should not indulge in “hacking” or attempting to access
computer systems without authorization.
Students should abstain from publicly defaming people through
publishing material on the internet, email and social
networking sites. The school’s name can not be used as a prefix,
suffix or the title of any social media account including
Facebook , Instagram , Whatsapprun or administered by a student.
A FEW REMINDERSThe school almanac to be consulted before planning a vacation.
No leave will be granted during the session.
No Retest or Improvement tests will be held - a child will be marked absent if she misses a test.
Gifts brought on birthday should not be worth more than Rs.10
The school office to be informed in case of change in address, phone number or email ID
Prior appointments MUST be made for meeting the Principal or teachers
The school website must be checked regularly..
The library remains open everyday (Monday-Friday) after school hours till 3.30p.m for the children .
Teachers will be available for extra classes and remedials on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45pm- 3:30 pm. Transport has to be arranged by the parent.
Mobile phones are not allowed on school excursions
SOME PROJECTS THAT WE SHALL CONTINUE WITH
• Parents are encouraged to visit the school library, be with their wards, enjoy reading and share their experience.
READING PARTNERSHIP
• Students are encouraged to donate dry food items for the underprivileged children of the locality once a month in the second week of every month. Regular sms is also sent as a reminder.
FOOD ATF
• Small trips with social connect will be organised as part of the project programme. This will enable them to connect with different subjects and develop team spirit.

SOME NEW MEASURES UNDERTAKENThe new academic session has resumed from 2nd April,2020 with online and recorded classes as well as content being uploaded through school software and Google classroom to reach out to the students during the lockdown. Students have been given an ID to join the Google classrooms according to their class and subject. A weekly roster is being uploaded on the school website according to which scholastic and co scholastic contents are being uploaded.
Robotics classes will be conducted for all students of Class VI to VIII.
Artificial Intelligence will be introduced for Class VIII as a skill course.
Olympiad will be conducted for Class VIII for English, Mathematics and Science. The same will be optional for Class VI and VII.
SOME NEW MEASURES UNDERTAKEN
Learn to Earn: Children will run the class canteen for one day and the money generated will be donated for a social cause.
An Interschool lit fest will be organized where the students will get a chance to interact and exchange their ideas.
Remedials will be conducted online through Google classroom.
