As we return to the Celebration of the Eucharist there were several individuals asking why we were not using our beautiful church building As pastor I made that decision so that every parishioner would have the opportunity to attend and receive the Body of Christ Celebrating the Mass in the church building would limit the number of people who could attend which would be about 25 of our community Once that recommended capacity was present in the Church all others would not be allowed to attend the Mass Therefore we will continue the Parking Lot Masses until further notice from our bishop During this pandemic we have heard the saying ldquoWe are in this togetherrdquo Indeed we are As one community where no one is more privileged than the other we will walk and work together for what is best for every individual of the parish

During this pandemic our goal has been to remain united as a community centered in on the Eucharist It has taken a lot of creativity and several individuals to make that happen I assure you it would not have been possible to rely solely on the knowledge and talent of your priest He has gifts but hersquos dependent on others to provide what he is lacking I would like to

express my sincere gratitude to all those who have helped keep us together as the parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe As we continue to follow the directives of the governor and our bishop please be patient and understanding I am hoping we will be back in the Church soon but only God knows when that will happen

realize we have not seen each other for a while but after the final blessing we are also asked not to congregate in order to visit with one another We can send an air-hug or simply wave to one another if we follow these guidelines we will be able to continue celebrating the Mass with several in attendance Thank you for your understanding

Many have been asking when the students of the RCIA program will receive the Sacraments for which they had been preparing there are also questions about when the regular Confirmation class will receive this particular Sacrament First of all I am pleased to know that those who have prepared for these sacraments are excited about being more a part of the sacramental life of the Church So when will this happen The easy answer is Only

God knows We are waiting for more direction from our bishop when we can open our Churches to celebrate a Mass with more than 25 of parishioners present Hopefully that will be soon in the meantime know that we also are excited that our community will be receiving individuals into the Church with the celebration of the sacraments More information will follow

During this time of restrictions several ministries have financially supported the Church by preparing and selling a takeout meal Your time and effort did not go unnoticed First of all be assured that God Himself recognized your love for the parish and how you stepped up to provide a bit of funds for the daily operation of the Church Secondly your priest smiled upon you in appreciation of all that you did I would also like to take this time to express my thanks for those who are making it a point to bring by their Sunday offering to the office or making a donation online I see this as your commitment to your spirituality giving unto God because He has first given unto us

As you probably already know we will be celebrating our weekday Masses in the Shrine respecting the social distancing that has been asked of us by our bishop you are also asked to wear a mask or face covering I

realize we have not seen each other for a while but after the final blessing we are also asked not to congregate in order to visit with one another We can send an air-hug or simply wave to one another if we follow these guidelines we will be able to continue celebrating the Mass with several in attendance Thank you for your understanding

Como probablemente ya sepa estaremos celebrando nuestras misas entre semana en el Santuario respetando el distanciamiento social que nos ha pedido nuestro obispo tambieacuten se le pide que use una maacutescara o una maacutescara para cubrirse la cara Me doy cuenta de que no nos hemos visto por un tiempo pero despueacutes de la bendicioacuten final tambieacuten se nos pide que no nos congreguemos para visitarnos Podemos enviar un abrazo en el aire o simplemente saludarnos unos a otros si seguimos estas pautas podremos continuar celebrando la Misa con varios asistentes Gracias por su comprensioacuten

Many have been asking when the students of the RCIA program will receive the Sacraments for which they had been preparing there are also questions about when the regular Confirmation class will receive this particular Sacrament First of all I am pleased to know that those who have prepared for these sacraments are excited about being more a part of the sacramental life of the Church So when will this happen The easy answer is Only

God knows We are waiting for more direction from our bishop when we can open our Churches to celebrate a Mass with more than 25 of parishioners present Hopefully that will be soon in the meantime know that we also are excited that our community will be receiving individuals into the Church with the celebration of the sacraments More information will follow
