Welcomes

Page 2: Partners Living Well - 2011 - June

There is nothing more rewarding than working with The AIM Companies™ and hearing about the incredible testimonials our Members share on a daily basis. In a way, it’s similar to Herzberg’s hygiene factor where making people healthy “lights your fire.” AIM Members are enthusiastic and passionate about the quality of the AIM products and about the natural health industry. That passion, coupled with the large acceptance of complementary and alternative health products by the public, creates a key goal for “next generation” attraction in our membership and supporting that generation through a coaching and leadership culture.

With dis-ease and ill health on the rise, now is the time to ensure people in their twenties and thirties are introduced to AIM BarleyLife® and AIM LeafGreens®. AIM products are a

safety mechanism for one’s health insurance. Very soon, those youngsters will be able to participate in educational webinars that are part of the online and social media options that The AIM Companies is shaping. Another addition to the Member tool belt is the availability of brief and easy-to-read data through the improved company website.

During the global financial crisis, many employees in organizations have been asked to do more with fewer resources, with new hires in organizations taking 18 months to perform to capacity. Today, AIM Members have a short lead time to productivity and earning commission capacity with many training and development opportunities. The driving force behind The AIM Companies is being able to provide the highest quality products in its field and supply compensation

for those who want it.

Yours in good health,

Melinda LewisGeneral ManagerAIM Australia & New Zealand

The hall of the Thompson home is lined with photographs reflecting their family history. Keith grew up in Durango, Colorado, and his great-grandfather was Sheriff Bill Thompson—killed in a gun battle on the streets of Durango. Charlotte grew up in the little river town of Natchitoches, which is the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase.

As fate would have it, Keith and Charlotte met in the state of Illinois while attending Bible college. They married in 1966, and five years later the Thompsons moved to Ohio, where they made their home and raised three sons (two of whom are now AIM Directors).

When Charlotte and Keith Thompson became AIM Members in 1997, they never envisioned what could become of the opportunity. In fact, Charlotte made it clear to her sponsor that she did not want to be bugged, she did not want to go to any meetings, and she did not want to sell AIM products. The Thompsons have come a long way since then, building a successful AIM business, leading a period of historic growth for AIM among the Amish community, and earning the title of Chairman’s Club Director, the highest level in AIM’s Compensation Plan.

“We have considered our AIM business a ministry in which we could share good news and AIM’s high-quality products to help others,” Charlotte said. “Staying focused with AIM has been a key to our success and helped us obtain our goals. We believe God designed healing in our bodies if we stop mistreating them and start feeding our cells live nutrition.”

Page 5: Partners Living Well - 2011 - June

Keith and Charlotte first learned of The AIM Companies™ in 1997 when Keith was feeling very fatigued, and he wanted to make nutritional changes to his diet. The Thompsons got a hold of a tape by AIM Star Sapphire Directors David and Marlene Rawls, who became their sponsors.

Within three days of taking AIM’s barley powder and juiced carrots, Keith and Charlotte were well on the road to recovery. Keith noticed an immediate difference. Charlotte, who had suffered from low energy, slow digestion, and knee pain for years, noticed a difference, too. Those health improvements continue today as Keith and Charlotte take almost all of the AIM products including the Daily Essentials—AIM BarleyLife®, AIMega®, and AIM Herbal Fiberblend®.

The change in their health compelled the Thompsons to share their story

with others. And their testimony inspired others to do the same.

Many nights, Charlotte was too excited to sleep because so many people were calling and sharing their stories about the benefits they were receiving by taking AIM products.

“A t t h i s s a m e t i m e ,” Charlotte said, “I had been unemployed for a few months and thought it was time to go back to work. I told our nineteen-year-old son Nathan that I should look for a

job. He said, ‘Mom, I think you have a job.’ It was like a light came on. Nathan recognized my passion and the job opportunity before I did.”

The Thompsons attended an AIM training meeting in Michigan and were inspired by the concept of sharing with five people each week.

They put what they learned into practice and earned a Level

4 prize in the contest for the 1998

June 2011 5

Scottsdale convention. The Thompsons have attended every convention ever since.

With a newfound interest in health and nutrition, Charlotte enrolled in a naturopathic course, traveled to Utah to attend classes with AIM Chairman’s Club Directors Teresa Schumacher and Toni Lund, and participated in AIM learning opportunities like teleclasses and meetings. She began to teach and educate others what she had learned about health, nutrition, and AIM products.

In the beginning, Keith and Charlotte held public meetings and health-and-wellness parties using AIM products. By doing informational parties in the homes of new Members, the Thompsons could educate and reach larger groups of people. Growth happened very quickly in their organization.

In 2004, they began the Ohio AIM Conference, which is now in its seventh year. Chairman’s Club Director Dr. John Shewfelt and Royal Emerald Directors Ralph and Phyllis Peterson have faithfully participated and supported the event every year. In 2009, Keith and Charlotte published a booklet of testimonies to hand out to attendees of the Ohio BarleyLife Conference. The publication’s circulation has grown immensely and, along with the conferences, has proven to bring much growth to their organization.

“We treasure the relationships we have built over the last fourteen years and wish to thank each AIM Member in our organization,” Charlotte said. “Without such unstoppable business builders in our organization, we would not be where we are today! And we will be forever grateful to AIM for the high-quality products and the integrity of The AIM Companies.”

june 19 | Father’s Day

Men’s health falls under the microscope this month with the arrival of Father’s Day. Dads give a lot of themselves at home, work, and play, so it is important that their health is given a once over every now and then. For some dads, that may mean a trip outside their comfort zone—the doctor’s office.

One of the biggest obstacles to a healthy dad is helping him overcome his invincibility. According to a 2001 report by the American Centers for Disease Control, men are 33 percent less likely to visit a doctor than women. So the bravado of being a guy has its risks because most medical problems can be addressed if there is awareness of the initial symptoms.

Men’s Health RisksHeart disease is one of the leading causes

of death for both men and women, but the first onset of cardiovascular problems occurs, on average, ten years earlier for men. Risk factors

include age, family history, and race. Some of these factors cannot be controlled, but others can. For example, heart disease also strikes

those with high cholesterol and high blood pressure as well as the physically inactive and obese.

If dad avoids these latter problems, his heart will thank him.

Another dad danger is stroke. The steps to sidestep stroke are right in line with those to avoid heart disease—a healthy lifestyle that includes a good diet and plenty of exercise. Healthy blood pressure levels remain the most crucial element for avoiding stroke.

Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer among men. Fortunately, the disease is treatable. Unfortunately, the symptoms of prostate cancer are often masked until it is too late. That is why doctors recommend that men over fifty undergo screening, which can include a blood test or rectal exam. The earlier dad takes the test, the better off he’ll be.

Although stress is not a disease, too much can lead to ill health and has been shown to be a causal factor in the onset of disease. So the stress that dad experiences from the daily demands of work and life can have a negative impact on his state of health. Exercise is a great stress reliever, and dad should be constantly encouraged to keep in good physical shape.

Daily Prevention from AIMWhen all is said and done, prevention

remains the best possible stance to take. Along with getting regular exercise and eating well, AIM provides what it takes to keep dad in the best of health. Whether

in good shape or dealing with a health issue, every dad needs the Daily

Essentials—greens, essential fatty acids, and fiber.

Daily servings of AIM BarleyLife® can make a lifelong difference for dad. This concentrated powder

form of greens provides absorbable, natural vitamins, minerals, enzymes,

antioxidants, phytonutrients, and chlorophyll—like a salad in a glass!

A daily intake of omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) is a necessity since these indispensible nutrients cannot be produced by the body. EFAs are vital for the health of every cell in dad’s body and provide a long list of health benefits, such as aiding digestion, burning fat, and lowering triglyceride and blood pressure levels. AIMega®’s EFA blend of organic seed oils provides dad with 1,140 mg of omega-3 fatty acids per capsule.

Fiber every day is the third essential way to prevention. A high-fiber intake plays a crucial role in preventing chronic diseases. Making certain that dad gets enough fiber in his diet by supplementing with AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, AIM FibreBalance®, or AIM fit ‘n fiber® will help to keep his digestive system working optimally and contribute to healthy cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels.

When Dad Needs a Little More You have dad on the preventative path

with the Daily Essentials, but he may require something more. If dad wants additional support for his heart, add AIM CellSparc 360®. The coenzyme Q10 in CellSparc 360 provides energy for the heart and body and assists the heart with cardiac output, exercise tolerance, and more.

If dad is struggling with an enlarged prostate that is causing him urinary difficulties, AIM ReAssure SP® can be added. To help reduce dad’s

stress levels, AIM Composure® provides an herbal remedy for relaxing and helping him to sleep better at night, which is also an essential element of good health.

Being aware of possible health risks and the support that is available from all-natural AIM products, dear old dad can be in great shape this Father’s Day. Make men’s health a priority this month and beyond.

Aging is unavoidable. How fast people age varies from individual to individual. But there are cellular-changing steps you can take to reverse some of the effects of aging and slow the process down. In fact, you can actually create an entirely new body within a year depending on how active you are, what you eat, and which supplements you take. You may now be thinking … What a load of nonsense! But read on. Science, not nonsense, is behind this re-creation of your new, younger self.

Rebuilding Cell by CellDr. Henry S. Lodge, associate clinical

professor of medicine at Columbia University, gerontologist, and co-author of Younger Next Year, states that your body is made up of trillions of cells that have various lifespans ranging from hours to three months. It’s a fact that your cells replicate all the time. They do their vital roles for your body and eventually decelerate—die. But this also means that new cells are always being born. Specializing in the study of aging, Dr. Lodge acknowledges that these new cells will be strong or weak depending on how you live your life. And this also means that you can alter what some believe to be inevitable genetic factors.

Suppose you have had a lifetime of suspicious eating habits, infrequent (or non-existent) exercise, and factors (your or life’s choice) that have negatively impacted your health. The cells that replicate as you get older are cells with built-in damage from poor nutrition,

inactivity, and stress—aging factors. Now imagine that you take a long, hard look

at how you have lived your life externally and internally—cell-wise—and decide, for at least one year, you are going to EEP:• Exercise regularly• Eliminate life’s negative factors, such as

stress, wherever possible • Put only healthy food and beverages and

nutrient-rich AIM products into your mouth

By doing so, you allow your body to replicate new and improved cells so that by the end of the year, you have created an entirely new body that will serve you well for a healthy lifetime.

Build a NEW Body

Start with the Daily Essentials:Greens, Essential Fatty Acids, and Fiber

AIM BarleyLife® and AIM LeafGreens™

Feeding your cells the abundant nutrients—including vitamins and minerals—in either BarleyLife or LeafGreens contributes to healthy cells for building the new you, a healthy body for combating inflammation, and a strong immune system and a slightly alkaline body

pH for defending against disease. Both of AIM’s greens provide the required trace minerals and enzymes for optimal health. And

with the presence of chlorophyll, BarleyLife and LeafGreens provide

nature’s perfect cleanser and healer for your cells.

AIMega® Build your new body by making

AIMega® a dai ly par t of your diet . Your body has a nutritional need for omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids (EFAs) because it cannot synthesize these

vital nutrients. The numerous benefits of EFAs include inflammation reduction, hormonal balance, and cardiovascular support. The reason for their wealth of benefits is that EFAs are crucial for the growth, function, and maintenance of every one of your cells—where the building begins.

I f you imagine that your cel ls are microscopic versions of you, then healthy cells require EFAs on a daily basis if only to ensure that their membranes are in a perfect state of flexibility and permeability to allow nutrients to enter and waste to exit—just as your body requires nutrients in and waste out to function optimally.

AIM Herbal Fiberblend®, AIM FibreBalance®, and AIM fit ’n fiber®

Fiber is an essential part of building your new body and keeping it healthy. Seventy percent of your immune system is in the colon, so a healthy digestive system is one of the greatest contributors to disease prevention for the new you. Supplementing daily with Herbal Fiberblend, FibreBalance (CAN), or fit ’n fiber (US) helps to cleanse your digestive tract, reduce your cholesterol, and balance your blood sugar levels—only a few of the many benefits of a high-fiber intake. Use one, both, or alternate these AIM products to supplement your fiber

intake—a dietary essential at any age.

Continue to Build with… AIM Proancynol® 2000

Proancynol 2000 contains seven active ingredients that provide a wide variety of antioxidants that work synergistically on various parts of your body. As a researcher for the NIH’s National Institute on Aging for nearly twenty years, Dr. Richard Cutler stated that the amount of antioxidants i n your body is directly proportional to

how long you will live. And since free radical damage can result in more than eighty age-related diseases, the number of antioxidants you

take daily can affect how well you will live your lifetime. Antioxidant support

for maintaining healthy cells does not get any better than taking Proancynol 2000.

AIM CellSparc 360® At the center of living cells is the spark

of energy provided by coenzyme Q10—an antioxidant produced by your body in reduced amounts as you age, making supplementation a necessity. If you are giving your body as much CoQ10 as you were producing in your twenties, then you are replicating energy-rich cells that, in particular, support a strong, healthy heart.

AIM ProPeas™ Like essential fatty acids, protein is a vital
