I’m writing this on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 19, since bulletins are sent to the pubisher the Tuesday before. Will there be public Mass next Sunday? The week after? Will schools remain closed? These are all things in the future that I don’t know the answer to. Just like all of you, I have to live in the present, and take each day as it comes. In my prayers I think particulary about those of you who may be facing financial hardships- loss of jobs, small business owners. I pray that if you are in that situation that the government provides assistance and you are able to pay your bills. It’s going to be a rough road the next few months- but we are people of hope. Don’t get discouraged, if you trust in God’s providential plan, all will work out in the end. I am amazed every day when I go to the mailbox and receive dozens of offertory envelopes. As well, on line giving has increased. I appreciate the fact that you love and care for your parish. I too love our parish and I miss having all of you here for daily Mass and Sunday Mass. Hopefully soon we can get back to our routine, and hopefully being stuck at home and away from the sacraments has given you the opportunity for self reflection. My hope is that our faith will increase, and that our already vibrant parish will become even more vibrant- with lots of new faces as well. The COVID-19 pandemic is truly global, and while you may not have symptoms… ...you are probably feeling its effects. The problems we’re facing—physically and spiritually—can seem insurmountable. It is in situations like this that Our Lady wants you to hand over the “knots” of your life so that she can untangle them with her capable hands. Unemployment, anxiety, spiritual hunger: there’s no knot she can’t unravel. I personally pray the novena to Our Lady Undoer of Knots every day. Over 400 years ago, Mary’s intercession healed a troubled marriage, and inspired the devotion to "Mary, Undoer of Knots .Since then, millions of Catholics have offered her their problems, suffering, and hardships…and she has untangled them. She’ll do it for you, too! Discover the power of this devotion and Our Lady’s God-given ability to smooth out the knots in your life.

May God bless all of you abundantly. Please let me know if you need anything.

STAY WITH US, LORD Walk with us, Lord, along the road of resurrection! Explain for us, so slow to believe, the things that Scripture says of you.
