I love Easter! I serve a risen Savior! So glad you are here to worship with us today. Christianity has the distinction of a resurrected Savior– no other world religion does. And our Savior is very much present with us in this sanctuary. I encourage everyone to take the time to reflect on what Easter truly means to you. It cost God’s son His life. We should
be mindful of that sacrifice and express our thanks accordingly. I be-lieve we have an excellent service arranged so let’s give ourselves to worshipping the “Resurrection and the Life!”

The Administrative Council will meet this Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the board-room.
Ukraine 2019
It’s time to build the Kingdom in the Ukraine. We are planning to plant 3 churches, buy a bus to start a ministry to handicapped children, and support our pastors in the 2 churches we planted last year. You are a critical part of this vital ministry. We need to raise $21,000 and have two teams go, one June 27 - July 5 and another in September. When you give, earmark the funds for “Ukraine” and if you want to join the team in June, register with Joe Faldowski now. The cost of the trip will be $2,000 - $2,500 per person. We will keep you up-dated on progress towards our goals in the weeks ahead. Together we can touch and transform our world. For those planning to go to the Ukraine in June, we will leave June 27 and return July 5. We will buy plane tickets and reserve our hotel on May 5. The cost for the plane tickets, hotel, and part of the ground costs is $2,000 and is needed to be turned in no later than May 4. Make checks payable to Living Word Church. Women’s Conference
GIRL'S NIGHT OUT!!!! Covenant Church in Lincolnton is hosting the EQUIPPED AND EMPOWERED Women's Conference on Sat-urday, May 4 at 6:30 PM. Join us for a night of worship and fel-lowship. Sharon Goodson will be the speaker for the event. Dessert Bar catered by Pope Plantation. The cost is $5.00 per person. There is a sign up sheet in the front foyer along with a flier that gives all the details!!! All money must be collected prior to the event. We plan to take the church van. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
Joyfully Well has started meeting again at Living Word. Joyfully Well is for all ladies of any age and fitness level. This is a time where faith and fitness meet. Join us on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 5:20 am. Bring a mat/towel and a willing heart. Also, follow Joyfully Well group on Facebook for more worship and fitness opportunities.

It’s that time of year! LWC is gearing up for a great 2019 Camp DaySpring. Registration forms for campers and staff volunteers are now available. Please see Pastor Brennan, or Pastors Kevin and Lisa High for a form -or- forms are a v a i l a b l e o n l i n e a t www.livingwordnc.net.
In order to qualify for the LWC scholarship, you must be registered by Wednesday, April 24th.
Camp DaySpring
The cost of camp is $140. Some of our campers may need a little help paying for camp registration this year, or need help with other affiliated expenses such as a canteen card (used to purchase snacks in between meals at camp), or money for fast food for the trip on the way there and back.. If you would like to sponsor a camper, you may make checks pay-able to Living Word Church and memo the check “Camp DaySpring”.

Pastor Bill Wilson of Metro World Child will be with us on Sunday, May 26th. Metro World Child is a global, faith-based humani-tarian organization dedicated to serving at-risk chil-dren throughout New York City, various urban centers and rural communities around the world.

BBQ Benefit for Metro World Child Saturday, May 18th
11 am-6 pm
Save the date for a BBQ fundraiser to benefit Metro World Child. Tickets are $10 per plate (orders are boxed to go) which includes BBQ pork (chopped), baked beans, coleslaw, roll, and a dessert. We also have a limited number of tickets to purchase just the pork BBQ by the pound ($10/lb.). TICKETS ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Contact the church office to purchase your tick-ets.
LADIES, WE NEED YOUR HELP! As part of the benefit, we are asking for cake donations to be served with the meal. If you are willing to do-nate a cake, please contact the church office.
Mother’s Day Bulletin
We are making preparation for the 2019 Mother's Day Bulletin. Forms are now available and included in this week’s bulletin. All proceeds from this project will go towards the Youth Camp Scholarship Fund. All entries must be turned in by Sunday even-ing, May 5th.

New Wednesday Night Class
James: Guidelines for a Happy Christian Life James gives us practical guidance on issues that also measure our true and living faith and our spiritual fruitfulness. He encourages us to "be doers of the word, and not hearers only," to "draw near to God," and "to be patient . . . until the coming of the Lord" (James 1:22; 4:8; 5:7). James calls all believers—then and now—to live a life that demonstrates saving faith marked by godly behavior. This study will be led by Faye Keener and Joe Faldowski and will meet Wednesdays starting May 1 at 7:00 PM in room 303.
