Dwight’s Doodles Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should…I am still not all I should be but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us! 2018 these are good words to begin a new year! We keep hearing the BEST is yet to come! It is my prayer that this year will bring new opportunities for us as a church to break out of the mold of who we think we are and become more of what He wants us to become! I read today that as churches face a new day and new year we must seek to find ways to work to become more interested in serving our communities and less about ourselves and what we want. It is a challenge for us and all our brothers and sisters in Christ as we try to share His love to a lost and dying world.
This Sunday we will be hosting the Uganda Kids Choir. They will sing a couple of songs in the morning service and a full concert in the evening. Come ready to support these children and enjoy a wonderful worship service.
We will also be hearing from our Pastor Search Committee as they share the name of who they are recommending for our new pastor. Come support these servants and their search.
Our Children’s Graded Choirs will resume on January 16. I will be in Atlanta at a music conference the week before that searching new music for us for the coming year.
I look forward to seeing you in worship this week ready to praise Him! My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You. (Ps 71:23)
